"I wait for him every day that he should come." These are the words that came from the feelings of thousands of chassidim who were present today at the candle lighting of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a. At the end of the Torah talk, the Rebbe spoke about matters of the Redemption, and after the Torah talk they began songs of emunah, first "Ani Maamin" (Moshe Goldman), then the fast "Achakeh Lo."
As the chassidim watched a true tzaddik pleading and waiting for the Redemption, they began with "Ani Maamin" in tears, and then continued for several minutes, as the Rebbe was aflame, "Even though he may tarry, nevertheless, I wait for him every day that he should come."
