Report
Now, at the daily "Tehillim shiur" in the Heichal HaMesivta, the Rosh Yeshiva, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, spoke with lengthy words of eulogy for his primary rebbi, HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Yisroel Chaim Menashe Friedman zt"l, Dayan and Moreh Tzedek of our holy kehilla in Williamsburg.

From the words of eulogy:

"When a Torah scholar dies, all are his relatives"; "...when one learns from his exalted deeds, every person is thereby called his student." My teacher and rebbi, HaGaon R' Yisroel Chaim Menashe zt"l, merited to be appointed as dayan by the uncles z"l. He was a mighty gaon in Torah and halacha, a chasid and a man of separation, a tzaddik in his deeds, G-d-fearing in every fiber of his being, a treasure of good and upright character traits, entirely speaking the glory of Heaven.

"I merited to learn with him for many years by the light of his Torah and righteousness." Of him one can say "all are his relatives." "His fervent prayers on the holy days, he would daven as shliach tzibbur in the beis medrash of my father z"l for many years. He was one of the most beautiful rabbis in our generation." His passing is a great loss for which there is no replacement. "Every person must mourn this great loss..."
