The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Shacharis at around 8:50. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Shimshon Shraga Fogel (Kiryas Joel).
Baal tefillah: R' Nachman Dov Heller (Williamsburg). After davening, the guests bid farewell, followed by a lechayim celebration with the bar mitzvah bochur in the beis medrash hall, and the Rebbe walked home.

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Mincha at around 8:55. Between Mincha and Maariv, the Rebbe was engaged in his learning in the beis medrash. At the time of Rabbeinu Tam, around 9:35, he davened Maariv. After Maariv the Rebbe walked home; on the way a conversation developed about the holy Ohr LeShamayim of Apta zy"a, whose yahrzeit fell on Sunday.
