At around 1:25, the Rebbe shlit"a arrived in Monsey, at the halls of Ateres Charna, to grace the Chumash seudah of the 3 first-grade classes of our holy mosdos in Monsey. The children of the year 5782 sang beautiful rhymes in honor of the occasion and recited the verses of Chumash as is customary. The Rebbe distributed a gift of a Sefer Tehillim to all the children, then drank a lechayim, bestowed his holy blessings upon the children and parents, and delivered a brief dvar Torah.

After the Chumash seudah, the Rebbe went into a side room and distributed holy coins to the students of the older grades who had brought in larger sums for the benefit of the mosdos during the days of Purim.

At around 2:30, the Rebbe shlit"a went to visit Heichal Yeshiva Gedolah Esek HaTorah, Monsey branch, headed by HaRav R' Yisroel Mordechai Seidenfeld shlit"a, which is situated in the Tefillah L'Moshe Kalushin beis medrash. The Rebbe was received by the director shlit"a together with the administrative board, and the host of the Torah hospitality, HaGaon Rabbi Meshulam Nosson Spiegel shlit"a, the rav of the beis medrash, was also present and conveyed a warm greeting to the Rebbe. The Rebbe entered the beis medrash where the bochurim were sitting and learning, and walked among the tables with great satisfaction, engaging in a Torah discussion with several bochurim. The Rebbe then visited the new mikvah of the beis medrash, which was opened this past summer season, accompanied by the rav of the beis medrash, HaGaon Rabbi Meshulam Nosson shlit"a, and looked over the many hiddurim. A lechayim gathering then took place in the beis medrash hall; several songs were sung, the Rebbe drank a lechayim, blessed the director shlit"a, the rav of the beis medrash and all the bochurim, and spoke a few holy words to the yeshiva students. It concluded at around 3:00.

The Rebbe then went on a bikur cholim visit to the home of R' Avrohom Shiff. A pleasant conversation ensued about the history of Monsey and its surroundings; the Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.

From there, the Rebbe shlit"a went to view the construction work at the gigantic new buildings of the mosdos, accompanied by members of the administration. First he visited the new Talmud Torah building above the Beis Medrash HaGadol; the Rebbe went up to all the floors and rooms and bestowed his holy blessings. The Rebbe then went to the new Bais Rachel building on Cherry Lane, which is being completed in the coming weeks; the Rebbe went up to all the floors and rooms and examined the building's plans. He then walked around the large mosdos property and looked at all the smaller temporary buildings around it. There he heard a lengthy report from R' Shmuel Zanvil Wertheimer, director of the mosdos, about the plans for the second gigantic building, the new Bais Rachel, for which the permits are hoped to be received soon, and which will be built on that property. The Rebbe wished the members of the administration well. At around 4:00, the Rebbe traveled home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Yechezkel Shraga Hiller (Monsey) and R' Yosef Pinchas Strulovitch, at the Bais Rachel Paradise hall.

Afterward, there was a time of entry to the Rebbe's holy room from around 8:00 until 12:15. At around 9:20, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy residence and then continued receiving the public.

During the time of entry, the completion of the writing of the letters for the Sefer Torah being written by R' Shmuel Zanvil Kahana took place. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.
Also entering the Rebbe's holy room was HaRav R' Shalom Teitelbaum shlit"a, dayan and moreh tzedek of Kiryas Vayoel Moshe, Monticello (Ichud Country), together with the country colony's administration, to receive a blessing at the start of the summer. Late in the evening, the Rebbe called the askanim of the bochurim and boys' camps, where thousands of students of the yeshivos and talmud torahs of Williamsburg and Boro Park left yesterday to spend the summer weeks. The Rebbe inquired whether the day had passed in peace and with success, saying "The parsha of Vayehi Binsoa is a parsha unto itself...". The Rebbe also asked about all the new arrangements in the camps among the bochurim and the boys and with the staff, and bestowed his holy blessing.
