In his Torah, the Rebbe shlit"a stood on the verse "Do not turn to their offering" and explained that teshuva must be specifically in that very place; through being connected with the holy Avos, one merits that all places are transferred here and one can do teshuva. But if one indulges in the desires, the connection is severed. One must strengthen oneself in the country in which one is placed, which is the source of the desire, especially during the summer months, to remain upright and conduct oneself in the way of the Torah.
