Wednesday, Parshas Korach, 1 Tammuz — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before davening, the bris of the son born to R' Yitzchak Yuda Gutman took place, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Yoel Moshe branch. The Rebbe shlit"a approached the amud for Hallel. During the Torah reading, the dedication of the new Sefer Torah took place, which had been brought in on Monday by the yeshiva's menahel, HaRav HaGaon R' Levi Yitzchak Borzesky shlit"a. The Chosson HaTorah, the bochur Yosef Tzvi Borzesky, was called up as Kohen and then recited Shehecheyanu. The Rebbe shlit"a was called up as the fourth aliyah. Hagbah: HaRav HaGaon R' Meir Zwibel shlit"a, rebbi in the yeshiva, and the Torah was danced with while open. Gelilah: the menahel shlit"a.

After davening, the Rebbe traveled to the Quickwer Hill neighborhood in the environs of Kiryas Joel, for the ceremony of pouring the foundations for the mikvah being built for the area. Present were the HaGaon HaGadol, the Dayan U'Moreh Tzedek shlit"a, the Chaver Beis Din, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of the Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a, and HaRav HaGaon R' Mordechai Friedman shlit"a, Rav of the Smith Gardens neighborhood and rebbi in our yeshiva. The Rebbe poured the foundations and honored the dayan shlit"a with pouring, followed by the distinguished rabbanim, the heads of the kehilla, the donors and the residents of the neighborhood. Afterwards a lechayim gathering took place in the hall of our beis medrash. A pleasant conversation developed with the rabbanim and heads of the kehilla. The Rebbe drank lechayim and warmly blessed the entire gathering, and especially R' Yuda Zev Klein, donor of the beis medrash and member of the neighborhoods' committee. He then delivered words of Torah and spoke about the greatness of purification in the mikvah, and concluded with a blessing for the donors and for the entire gathering.

At about 1:30 the Rebbe arrived at Yeshivas Esek HaTorah, Chester branch, under the direction of HaRav R' Shlomo Leib Weinberger shlit"a, where the Rebbe honored the pure table in honor of Rosh Chodesh with his presence. During the seudah, songs in honor of Rosh Chodesh were sung. For Borchi Nafshi, the Rebbe honored HaRav R' Naftali Schnebalg shlit"a, rebbi in the yeshiva. Afterwards the Rebbe delivered words of Torah and chizuk to the bochurim.

For Birkas Hamazon, the Rebbe honored the menahel, HaRav R' Shlomo Leib shlit"a. It ended at about 2:45, and the Rebbe traveled home to his holy residence.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva's students in his private room.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Shimshon Shraga Fogel – R' Yoel Bar"P Brach, at Kinor David hall.
R' Yoel Bar"B Fish – R' Chaim Avrohom Rosenfeld, at Beis Rachel Paradise hall.

At about 8:40 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy residence at the Ohel Kat. Afterwards there were times of entry to the Rebbe's room until 12:45 at night.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim at the tenaim hall in his holy residence for the following mechutanim:
R' Uziel Lefkowitz – HaRav R' Yonason Bleier shlit"a.
R' Yoel Bar"A Gandel – HaRav R' Yaakov Shalom Weiss.

At about 12:45 the Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv in his holy residence.
