Tuesday, Parshas Korach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, the bris of the newborn son of R' Aryeh Friedlander took place, with the Rebbe serving as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the heichal of the Mesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
the son of HaGaon R' Moshe Teitelbaum shlit"a, dayan and posek of Beis Medrash Beis Shmuel Binyomin.

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 12, verse 2. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

At about 1:20 in the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the halls of Beis Rochel Paradise for the 'Chumash Seudah' for the nearly six hundred first-grade talmidim, ke"h, from all branches of Mosdos Kiryas Yoel. The children sang several songs, and the Rebbe drank lechayim and distributed shirayim to the grandchildren. He delivered a few brief words of Torah and blessing to the children, and then distributed a gift, a Krias Shema She'al HaMitah booklet, to all the children. The Rebbe also gave a gift to the distinguished philanthropist R' Yuda Weiss, who purchased the zechus of the occasion. Afterwards, the children stood up and danced, while the Rebbe watched with great nachas for an extended time. It concluded at about 2:20.

In the afternoon at about 4:00, the talmidim of the ninth grade of Talmud Torah Tzemach Tzaddik Viznitz of Williamsburg entered the Rebbe's room, where they were examined by the Rebbe on Maseches Kiddushin. The bochurim then went over to greet the Rebbe, and the Rebbe gave them of his holy blessing.

The Rebbe then went up to the heichal of the Yeshiva, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room.

At about 7:15, the Rebbe traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours. Upon arrival, the Rebbe went to console the children of the late R' Berish Laufer a"h, who had passed away on Shabbos Kodesh. At about 9:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha at his home, and afterwards there were reception hours in the Rebbe's room until 1:15 after midnight.

During the reception hours, an assembly took place with the members of the leadership of our holy kehilla and its mosdos in Yerushalayim, who are currently visiting New York, together with the Yerushalayim leadership in the U.S., and the architect, Rabbi Yisroel Weichleder of Eretz Yisroel. The Rebbe went through all the plans for the gigantic $30 million building for the kehilla and its mosdos in Yerushalayim, which will IY"H be built with great splendor.

HaGaon Rabbi Shlomo Kanievsky shlit"a, rosh yeshiva of Kiryat Melech and Tiferes Tzion in Eretz Yisroel, also entered the Rebbe's room. A pleasant conversation in Torah ensued, and the Rebbe gave of his holy blessings.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv at about 12:30, and afterwards continued to receive the public.
