Thursday, Parshas Shlach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah. After davening, the Rebbe delivered the weekly shiur on the sugya in Shiurei HaYeshiva, Maseches Bava Basra, perek Chezkas HaBatim. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

During the morning hours, the ninth-grade students of Talmud Torah Karlin Stolin of Boro Park entered the Rebbe's holy home together with the principal, HaRav R' Shmuel Binik shlit"a. The Rebbe tested the bochurim on their studies. Afterwards the bochurim went over to take leave, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings.

In the evening at around 8:00, the Rebbe went over to the Beis Medrash HaGadol for the celebration of the hachnasas sefer Torah donated by R' Yisroel Yaakov Soffer. The Rebbe watched the holy dancing and then recited "L'Dovid Mizmor" as is customary.

After the hachnasas sefer Torah, at around 8:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Ohel Court. Afterwards there were times of entry to the Rebbe until 11:50 at night.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim at the tenaim held in the hall of his holy home, between the mechutanim R' Yoel Ber Zaldan and R' Avrohom Herska.

At around 12:00 the Rebbe went over to the Kinor David halls to be present at the Sheva Brachos celebration hosted by HaGaon HaGadol, the Dayan and Av Beis Din shlit"a, on the occasion of the marriage of his granddaughter, the kallah, daughter of his son-in-law HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Yosef Mordechai Wagshal shlit"a, Rosh HaKollel and Rav of the beis medrash Kollel Erev Shabbos. A longer, warm conversation developed in Torah thoughts and pilpul on the sugya of ribis. Then the Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings on the chasan and on the Dayan shlit"a, the mechutanim, and the entire gathering. After Birkas Hamazon, the Rebbe recited the Sheva Brachos, and then the Rebbe broke into a dance with the chasan and the mechutanim, and an extra dance with the Dayan shlit"a.

After the Sheva Brachos, at around 12:40, the Rebbe davened Maariv in our beis medrash, Beis Mordechai. After Maariv the Rebbe walked around and looked over the magnificently renovated beis medrash, and then went home to his holy home.
