Report
Wednesday, Parshas Bamidbar — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Yoel Moshe branch. After davening, the Rebbe spoke words of preparation for Yom Tov Shavuos, explaining that the proper preparation for Kabbalas HaTorah is through learning Torah, and he encouraged the bochurim to participate in the gathering of "learning for consecutive hours" on the second day of Shavuos in the morning before davening.

In the evening, at around 8:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home at Ohel Street. Afterwards there were times of entry to the Rebbe's room until 9:00 at night.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the tenaim hall in his holy home, between the mechutanim R' Shmuel Zanvil Frankel and HaRav R' Yoel Spitzer shlit"a.

Afterwards the Rebbe traveled to Monsey. Upon arriving, the Rebbe participated in the seudah for the completion of a Torah scroll, which was donated by the esteemed R' Wolf Retek, a grandson of the holy Baal Eitz Chaim zy"a. The Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings upon R' Wolf and upon the entire gathering.

From there the Rebbe went to the atrium halls where the annual "Gidlu V'Hitzlichu" dinner for the benefit of our holy mosdos in Monsey took place, with its nearly two thousand children, bli ayin hara.

Upon arriving, the Rebbe first davened Maariv in a side room off the hall. The Rebbe lit 5 candles, approached the amud, and recited Kaddish in honor of the yahrzeit of his ancestor, the holy Rebbe of Volova zt"l.

After Maariv, at around 10:40, the Rebbe went up to the dinner. The chairman, R' Meir Mordechai Berkowitz, continued with the program, followed by the main address from the Rav of Monsey, HaGaon shlit"a. Then a rich presentation took place, introduced by the singer R' Mordechai Ilowitz, accompanied by one of the students of the mosdos.
The Rebbe shlit"a spoke holy words and explained that giving tzedakah is a segulah for Torah and fear of Heaven; accordingly, a dinner in support of Torah is a good preparation for Kabbalas HaTorah. He then spoke words of praise about our holy kehilla and mosdos in Monsey, which grow from year to year in quantity and quality, both in the chinuch of boys and the chinuch of girls, under the influence of the esteemed Rav shlit"a and with the help of the esteemed mosdos administration. He emphasized that the mosdos are founded on the foundations of our holy Rebbes zy"a; one who does not accept the foundations and regulations of our holy mosdos will not be able to have his children become part of the student body. It should be "ascending in holiness and not descending." Our mosdos are made for Satmar chassidim who conduct themselves as Satmar chassidim. He thanked the administration of the gashmius, who stand at the helm, and he highlighted the tremendous expansion of the boundaries of holiness: "Wonderful buildings are being built for the chinuch of boys and girls; to build so many buildings, and such large buildings, is a rarity." Everyone knows and understands the necessity, as one cannot accept a child into the mosdos because there is no room. This is no exaggeration! The Rebbe concluded with his holy blessing to the mosdos administration that they should merit to be able to accomplish this, and that it should be "For You, Hashem, have made room for us," and he concluded with his holy blessings to the generous donors of the community and to the entire gathering. The event ended at around 11:45. The Rebbe then traveled home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.
