Report
Tuesday, Parshas Bamidbar, Rosh Chodesh Sivan — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the beis medrash of the Yeshiva Ketana "Sniff Hashev Moshe," under the direction of HaRav HaGaon R' Shimon Avrohom Rotte shlit"a. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Chaim Tzvi Levy.

The Rebbe approached the amud for Hallel, and during the Torah reading was called up as the fourth aliyah.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in the beis medrash. Several niggunim were sung, and the Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the bar mitzvah bochur well, as well as the rebbeim of the yeshiva and all the bochurim. The Rebbe then delivered holy words regarding preparation for Yom Tov Shavuos. In the course of his remarks, he urged the bochurim to participate in the gathering of continuous hours of learning on the second day of Shavuos before davening, as a proper preparation for kabbalas haTorah and for Ahavah Rabbah, and concluded with his holy blessing.

The Rebbe then went up to the beis medrash of the ninth-grade talmidim of the Mechina L'Yeshiva, where the bochurim were sitting and learning. The Rebbe walked among the bochurim and looked around with great nachas.

At about 1:30 in the afternoon, the Rebbe arrived at the hall at his holy residence on Ohel St., where the Rebbe held a Rosh Chodesh seudah together with the rabbanim and learners of our Kollel, "Kollel Divrei Yoel" of Boro Park.
The Rebbe washed for the seudah, and the foods were served as on Yom Tov. During the seudah, Rosh Chodesh niggunim and Shavuos niggunim were sung. After the soup, the Rebbe's grandson, Rabbi Hershel Meisels shlit"a, son of HaGaon Rabbi, Rav of Beis Medrash Yismach Moshe shlit"a, posed questions on various topics relevant to the kollel members, which the Rebbe answered and discussed with good reasoning and insight for an extended time. The Rebbe honored HaRav R' Chaim Moshe Lev shlit"a, Rosh Kollel, with Borchi Nafshi.
The Rebbe then delivered holy words, first a lengthier drush and pilpul on the topics of Chag HaShavuos, and then spoke words of guidance to the kollel members regarding preparation for the upcoming Chag HaShavuos.

The Rebbe honored HaRav R' Elazar Nissan Strahli shlit"a, Rosh Kollel and dayan of our beis medrash on 36th St., with Birkas Hamazon. The seudah concluded at about 3:15.

In the afternoon at about 6:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha at his holy residence on Zanz St., and then traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.

Upon arrival, the Rebbe paid a condolence call to the family of the late R' Eliezer Shaul Glanzer a"h.

From there, the Rebbe went to the home of the esteemed chossid R' Hershel Kahn, where a lechayim gathering and completion of the writing of a Sefer Torah took place, which will be donated to our beis medrash Beis Menachem Tzvi of Kehal Yitav Lev in Williamsburg. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, then drank lechayim and warmly wished R' Hershel and the entire family well.

The Rebbe then participated in the siyum of Maseches Kesubos of the Yesodei HaTorah chaburah for the chaburah's learners in our beis medrash Birch Moshe in Williamsburg, in the La Shato hall. The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the entire gathering well, and delivered holy words about the greatness of Torah learning, bringing out that making a siyum on a masechta before Shavuos is a proper preparation for kabbalas haTorah. He concluded with abundant blessings for the entire gathering.

Afterwards, there were private reception hours from 8:45 until 12:30 at night at the Rebbe's holy residence in Williamsburg. The Rebbe davened Maariv at about 11:30, and after Maariv approached the amud for Sefiras HaOmer, and then continued receiving the public.
