Thursday, Parshas Bechukosai — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Shlomo Aharon Sofer, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe lit 5 candles in honor of the yahrzeit of his uncle, the holy Gaon Rabbi Yekusiel Yehuda Teitelbaum zt"l Hy"d, Av Beis Din of Sighet. During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as Shlishi. After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 12, verse 1.

In the evening, at around 8:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Ahel Court. Afterwards, there were yechidus audiences in the inner sanctum until 12:15 at night.

During the yechidus hours, there was a visit from HaGaon Rabbi Tzvi Friedman shlit"a, Gabbai Av Beis Din of Mesoros and president of the Tiferes Yaakov institutions in the holy city in Eretz Yisroel. A pleasant conversation ensued, and he expressed the tremendous chizuk, both spiritual and financial, that is received from the residents of Kiryas Joel, as well as the great and beneficial efforts of the Vaad for the Rescue of Ukrainian Jewry. He presented the Rebbe shlit"a with a gift of his sefer 'Chukei Daas' on the halachos of Shemittah, and the Rebbe gave him as a gift his sefer 'Lev Aharon' on Bamidbar. The Rebbe then honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings upon him.

Likewise, the 'Chaburas Shaarei Tohar' of the Mivtzar HaKollelim, on the halachos of mikvaos, headed by the Chadvan, HaGaon Rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a, presented themselves for a farhér before the Rebbe shlit"a, and the Rebbe examined the group for an extended time.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in his holy home at the tenaim table for the following mechutanim:
R' Shraga Feish Hertzog - R' Chaim Nosson Weinstock.
HaRav R' Chaim Leib Zilberstein shlit"a - R' Mendel Wolf Teitelbaum.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:15, and afterwards approached the lectern for the Sefiras HaOmer.
