Monday, Parshas Emor — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur Shimon Hershkowitz.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah. After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 10, verse 4. Afterwards, a lechayim gathering was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the private room.

In the afternoon at around 4:15, the Rebbe shlit"a came over to the Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe delivered the opening-of-the-zman address to the thousands of talmidim of the Yeshiva Gedolah from all the branches.
The Rebbe began with words of derush and aggada on the weekly parsha, and then urged the bochurim to prepare for the yeshiva's sedarim and all the shiurim, to learn mussar sefarim regularly, and to go to the mikvah every day, especially on Shabbos and Yom Tov. He spoke about the beauty of the Shabbosos in yeshiva and the elevated nature of the Seudas Ra'avei D'ra'avin, about doing chesed and going after money, and about guarding oneself from the dangers of vessels. He strengthened the takanah of the holy Rebbe, founder of the yeshiva, zy"a, not to go to weddings, and concluded with words of chizuk for the bochurim, about the merit they have to learn in the yeshiva of the holy Rebbe zy"a, and finished with his holy blessings.

In the evening, the Rebbe comforted the mourner, HaRav R' Eliezer Heilbrun, on the passing of his mother a"h.

At around 8:30 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Ohel Court. Afterwards there were yechidus hours in the inner sanctum until 11:30 at night.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tnaim in the tnaim hall of his holy home, between the mechutanim R' Yaakov Chaim Polak and R' Chaim Wolf Spielman.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:30 in his holy home on Ohel Court, and then approached the amud for the Sefirah count.
