On Friday night at around 8:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Chaim Shlomo Krois.
After davening, an appeal was held on behalf of the mosdos Darchei Shmuel in the holy city of Bnei Brak. Davening concluded at around 10:10. The congregation went over to wish a "Gut Shabbos," and the Rebbe shlit"a went into his private room.
A short time after davening, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Shabbos seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the Mesivta, and began, as is his custom, with "Shalom Aleichem," with emotion and sweetness.

In his Torah, the Rebbe shlit"a addressed the verse "Kedoshim tihyu" and explained that although the rule is that there is no reward for a mitzvah in this world, for the preparation for mitzvos there is reward even in the World to Come, and it protects even from a thought of sin. Therefore one must be especially careful to go to the mikvah every day, and through this merit an invitation to kedusha.
