Monday, Parshas Kedoshim, 2 Iyar — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the hall of the Mesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

The Rebbe shlit"a led the davening for Hallel, and was called up as the fourth aliyah during the Torah reading, after which the foreign bochurim, talmidim of the yeshiva, recited Birkas HaGomel. After davening, the talmidim of the yeshiva went to greet the Rebbe, and afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

After davening, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yitzchak Jospe, in the home of his father, R' Yom Tov Jospe, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

In the evening, at around 8:20, the Rebbe shlit"a came for a surprise visit to the new beis medrash 'Beis Elazar' in the Vyoel Moshe neighborhood, where the Rebbe looked around the beis medrash with great satisfaction and inquired at length with the mispallelim and residents of the neighborhood. Afterwards, the Rebbe davened Mincha there, and then observed the daily shiur given there in the hall of the beis medrash by HaGaon R' Yechezkel Lax shlit"a, moreh tzedek in our holy kehilla.

Yechidus hours were until 11:45 after midnight.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the tenaim room in his holy home, for the mechutanim R' Avrohom Yuda Lebovits - R' Aharon Schwartz.

During the yechidus hours, the Rebbe shlit"a examined on all of Hilchos Shabbos the chassan Menachem Gershon, son of Berish Feldman (of Kiryas Joel), and the chassan Chaim Aryeh, son of Avrohom Shmuel Moskowitz (of Kiryas Joel), outstanding talmidim of the holy Mesivta.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv at around 11:45 in his holy home on Ohel Court, and afterwards approached the amud for the counting of the Omer.
