Thursday, Parshas Tahara — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, the bris of the newborn son of R' Shimon Oestreicher took place, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe laid tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochurim:
the twin sons of R' Yoel Friedman of Boro Park,
and the bochur David Mittelman (of Williamsburg). After davening, the Nasi was read, and the Rebbe recited the Yehi Ratzon as is customary.

Afterward, the bris of the newborn son of R' Aharon Efraim Kornbluh took place, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel. Following this, a lechayim was held in the hall of the beis medrash.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Yoel Mendlowitz and R' Yonah Tzvi Hoffman, at the Bais Rochel Paradise hall.

Around 8:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy residence on Ohel Street. Afterward, there were times of entry to the Rebbe's holy room until 12:00 at night.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the tenaim hall in his holy residence, between the mechutanim R' Asher Zev Neiman (of Williamsburg) and HaGaon Rabbi Shalom Moshe Lipschitz shlit"a, dayan and moreh tzedek of our beis medrash Beis Mordechai in Kiryas Joel.

Afterward the Rebbe davened Maariv. Before Maariv, the Rebbe lit 5 candles in honor of the yahrzeit of the Rebbetzin, the righteous Chana a"h, the mother of the Rebbetzin of the Kedushas Yom Tov zt"l. After Maariv, the Rebbe continued receiving the public.

Around 12:00 the Rebbe came to the "Shechunas Vayoel Moshe" neighborhood, where the first residents are, b'ezras Hashem, soon moving in. The Rebbe looked around the area and then went up to the home of HaRav R' Chaim Yaakov Lebowitz, where the signing of the contracts took place for a classroom he purchased for our holy mosdos in Williamsburg. The Rebbe affixed a mezuzah, after which a lechayim gathering was held, with a fine conversation with the new residents about the expansion of the borders of kedusha. The Rebbe signed the contracts together with the donor, then drank l'chaim and warmly bestowed his holy blessings.
