As already reported, this evening a rare appointment ceremony took place at the holy home of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a for "twelve new morei tzedek" in the Beis Horaah of Kiryas Joel, to adjudicate and issue halachic rulings for the residents of the city of Kiryas Joel and the surrounding areas. With this, the power of halachic ruling in Kiryas Joel is doubled, under the guidance of HaGaon HaGadol the Av Beis Din shlit"a, to twenty-four morei horaah shlit"a.
The 12 distinguished morei horaah shlit"a entered the Rebbe's holy home, where a private gathering took place headed by HaGaon HaAdir the Av Beis Din shlit"a. The Rebbe shlit"a spoke words of Torah and gave guidance, and afterwards wished a blessing of mazel tov to each of the new morei tzedek individually in honor of the new appointment.
Afterwards the festive lechayim gathering and appointment ceremony for the morei tzedek took place in the Tanaim Hall of the Rebbe's holy home, with the participation of the rabbanim, dayanim and leadership of our holy kehilla, as well as the parents and grandfathers of the morei horaah, headed by the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a and at his side HaGaon HaGadol the Av Beis Din shlit"a.
The chairman, HaGaon R' Wolf Aharon Teller shlit"a, chairman of the Beis Horaah and one of the heads of our kollelim in Kiryas Joel, opened the ceremony with introductory remarks. R' Dovid Eckstein, the secretary of our holy kehilla, spoke on behalf of the kehilla, and in the course of his remarks announced the expansion of the borders of holiness: for Pesach, b'ezras Hashem, a new location will open for another Beis Horaah of our holy kehilla, which will be situated in the business center in the Birch Moshe area, through the generous donation of the communal leader R' Meir Hirsch, director of our holy mosdos.
Afterwards HaGaon HaAdir the Av Beis Din shlit"a spoke on the topic of halachic ruling, followed by HaGaon HaTzaddik the Av Beis Din and Rosh Mesivta of our kehilla in Monsey shlit"a, who personally accompanied and examined the dayanim shlit"a.
Several niggunim were sung in honor of the occasion. The Rebbe shlit"a drank lechayim and wished a blessing of mazel tov to the new dayanim and their parents, and delivered words of Torah regarding the expansion of the borders of holiness of the city of Kiryas Joel, especially with the opening of the new neighborhood of Veyoel Moshe, saying that the spiritual strength of the city must also be expanded and increased. The Rebbe spoke about the beauty of the city of Kiryas Joel and in praise of the morei horaah shlit"a, and concluded with a holy blessing.
