Monday, Parshas Vayikra — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a
This morning, before Shacharis, the bris of the newborn son of R' Yoel Weiss took place, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in our great beis medrash in Kiryas Joel. During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as Shlishi.
In the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, the Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room, and at 6:20 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.
In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated as mesader kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Moshe Shmuel Neiman - R' Yoel Hakohen Friedman, at Kinor David hall.
R' Yoel Hakohen Kahn - Moshe Yitzchak Reisman, at Beis Rachel Paradise hall.
At night there were times for entering the Rebbe's room (yechidus) from 8:00 until 10:15. Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv in his holy home.
At around 11:10 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the Atrium hall in Monsey for the large 'Hadar Kablu'ah' assembly for all the chassidim of Monsey. The Rav of the Beis Medrash Yismach Moshe, HaGaon Rabbi shlit"a, continued with his masterful address, and afterwards HaRav R' Meir Hirsch, one of the heads of the mosdos in Kiryas Joel, spoke. Then HaRav R' Asher Anshil Griesgat shlit"a, director of the Yeshiva Ketana Kinyan Torah branch, read aloud the takanos of our kehilla and mosdos in Monsey, which were signed by the holy hand of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a and HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din shlit"a.
Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words of guidance on the pressing needs of the hour. He spoke primarily about Yiddishkeit in America and being separated from the American street, and spoke at length about the city of Monsey: "There is a proper Monsey and a lowly Monsey." One must remain strong and not be dragged after the lowly part, and the advice for this is to make gedarim and syagim that are binding on every member of the kehilla. He also spoke about staying together with the chassidim, davening in our batei medrash, and sending the children to our mosdos, and spoke in praise of our holy kehilla and mosdos in Monsey, all of which are of the finest quality. He pointed out that the kehilla in Monsey is growing faster than all the other kehillos.
Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a spoke about the pressing needs of the hour regarding the difficult situation of our Jewish brethren in Ukraine, as already reported separately, and concluded with his holy blessings. The event ended at around 12:15.
