Motzei Shabbos, Parshas Pekudei — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At about 11:00, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a arrived in Monsey at the home of R' Nechemia Shlomo Wertzberger for the start of the writing of a Sefer Torah and the signing of documents for a classroom in the new Talmud Torah building in Monsey. The Rebbe wrote the first letters in the Sefer Torah and signed the documents together with the donor, then drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.

From there the Rebbe shlit"a proceeded to the home of the noted philanthropist R' Mordechai Yoel Lebowitz, where a lavish banquet took place for the benefit of the branches of the yeshivas ketanos of our holy institutions in Monsey.

The chairman, R' Hershel Friedman, and the Rav of the community, HaGaon shlit"a, spoke. The Rebbe shlit"a then delivered a few words of Torah and a blessing. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished the Rav shlit"a, the directors and all the participants well, and gave a gift to the host, the philanthropist R' Mordechai Yoel Lebowitz.

After the banquet, the Skulen Monsey Rebbe shlit"a came for a visit. A pleasant conversation in Torah and Chassidus ensued, and the Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.
