On Erev Shabbos afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a put on the shtreimel for the chosson, the bochur Yoel, son of R' Shmuel Friedman.
On Friday night at around 6:30, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and went up to daven Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos was led by R' Chananya Goldberger, and the davening ended at around 8:00.
After davening, by the Rebbe's holy command, HaGaon R' Hershel Kahn shlit"a spoke on behalf of the fund to rescue the refugees of Ukraine. On the Rebbe's instruction, the aim is to save Jews physically, as they wander from place to place, and spiritually, that they should not end up turning to the Zionists. After the crossing over to wish a "gut Shabbos," the askanim of the new vaad entered the Rebbe's private room, and the Rebbe discussed various details with them.
At around 8:55 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Shabbos seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta, and began, as is his holy custom, to sing "Shalom Aleichem" with emotion and sweetness.

He then delivered divrei Torah on the verse "Eileh pekudei haMishkan," and explained that the women were not harmed by the sin of the Golden Calf, and the merit of their conducting themselves with tznius, which is regarded like a korban to the Creator. He concluded with his holy brachos. Songs were sung in honor of the simcha. It ended at 1:10.
