Last night, at the private Sheva Brachos in "our holy courts," hosted by the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a for the "Hatzolah members" of Kiryas Joel as an expression of gratitude for their devoting themselves with heart and soul to the residents of K"J during the difficult months, the Rebbe, in a powerful address, spoke for an extended time with strong words of praise, chizuk and guidance to the Hatzolah members. Among other things, the Rebbe read a letter from his grandfather, the Rebbe zt"l, the Yismach Moshe zy"a, to the Hatzolah members, in which the Yismach Moshe expresses himself at the end of the letter, "Would that my portion be with them," along with more words of chizuk.
The Rebbe mentioned the difficult times that have passed, and how the Hatzolah members devoted themselves with great self-sacrifice, and especially regarding the Rebbetzin tblct"a. The Rebbe said that he was not told how difficult the situation was, and when one of the children came in "and he was shaved, I understood how bitter the situation is." And, Baruch Hashem, we can thank Hashem "for the kindnesses." "From this we must take strong chizuk not to give up, no matter what the situation is." There were further words of guidance to the Hatzolah members. Among other things, the Rebbe mentioned the kuntres that was published before Yom Kippur, with all the halachos relevant to the situation, and many other Hatzolah organizations also accepted this psak halacha, and that one should not be lenient in any matter. It was carried out with his holy blessings.
