Monday, Parshas Pekudei — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a visited the city mikvah and looked over the entire kashrus section, and afterwards the Rebbe went there to the mikvah.

At around 8:30 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol for Shacharis. At the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as Shlishi; the hagbah was done by HaRav HaChasid R' Naftali Hirtzka Stein, and the gelilah by the bochur Alter Baruch Gefen. After davening the Rebbe shlit"a returned to the guest residence, and after the morning meal the Rebbe bid a warm farewell and expressed thanks to the host, HaRav HaGaon R' Leibel Tauber shlit"a and his family.

Afterwards the Rebbe went on a visit to Heichal Kolleinu in Manchester, where the Rebbe looked in with great nachas on the learners. On the way to the airport the Rebbe shlit"a passed by the Talmud Torah building, where the children accompanied him with song and music, and from there to the Beis Rachel building, where the Rebbe shared words of blessing with the students and teachers.

Then the Rebbe shlit"a arrived for a visit to the shechita house of the Machzikei HaDas kehilla, accompanied by the kehilla leaders and by HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Dayan and Moreh Tzedek of Belz, who is the rabbi of the shechita house. The Rebbe examined the lungs and looked over the entire operation of the shechita house, which the Rebbe greatly admired.

At around 12:45 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at Manchester Airport, accompanied by HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din shlit"a, and the dignitaries of the community, from whom the Rebbe took a warm leave. The airport chaplain, R' Yosef Sandler, was waiting for the Rebbe. After everything was arranged, the Rebbe shlit"a boarded the plane, and at about 2:20, b'sha'a tova u'mutzlachas, the plane took off on its way to New York. On the plane the Rebbe learned Torah for an extended time in Maseches Kesubos, and later in the new sugya.

Baruch Haba B'Shem Hashem

In the afternoon at 4:45 the plane landed b'sha'a tova u'mutzlachas at JFK Airport, where the Rebbe and his entourage immediately passed through the legal formalities. The Rebbe davened Mincha there at the airport, and at 5:30 the Rebbe set out for Kiryas Joel, to his holy home.

On the way home the Rebbe made a telephone condolence call to HaGaon HaTzaddik the Admor of Chareidim Zidichov shlit"a and HaGaon HaTzaddik the Av Beis Din of Belchov shlit"a regarding the passing of their sister, the Rebbetzin, the righteous wife of the Toldos Aharon Rebbe, a"h.

At 7:15 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at his holy home, where dozens of talmidei hamesivta greeted the Rebbe with song and music. The Rebbe will now daven Maariv in his holy home.
