Tuesday, Parshas Tetzaveh — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a
The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the talmud torah building 'Beis Mordechai' together with the talmidim of grades 6, 7 and 8 of the branch of Rabbi Yoel Wertzberger shlit"a. Upon arriving, the Rebbe shlit"a looked over the studies of the students with nachas.
After davening, a lechayim gathering took place with the talmidim of grades 3, 4 and 5 of the branch of Rabbi Fishel Kaufman shlit"a. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave his holy blessings to the rebbeim and the students, and then delivered words of holy Torah and blessing to the children. He expressed that today, the 7th of Adar, the yahrzeit of Moshe Rabbeinu, one must see to uphold the Torah that Moshe Rabbeinu gave, and to learn diligently and daven properly. After the words, the Rebbe gave shirayim for the rebbeim to distribute to the students.
Then the lechayim gathering took place with the talmidim of grades 6, 7 and 8. First several nigunim were sung. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave his holy blessings to the rebbeim and the students, and then delivered words of holy Torah and guidance, especially about doing kindness for one another, and concluded with words of blessing.
In the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Sniff Divrei Yoel, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room, and at 5:50 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.
Around 8:10, when the Rebbe shlit"a arrived in Williamsburg, he first went to pay a shiva call to the family of the late HaRav R' Berel Gross a"h.
At night there were times for entering the Rebbe's room from 8:00 until 1:15 in his holy home in Williamsburg. Around 11:50 the Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv, and continued to receive the public.
During the yechidus times, the chalaka celebration took place for the grandson of the Rebbe shlit"a, the boy, son of Rabbi Mordechai Yuda Halberstam shlit"a, son-in-law of the Gaon, Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a. The Rebbe shlit"a cut the child's hair, and then drank a lechayim and gave his holy blessings to the chalaka boy and the whole family.
