Monday, Parshas Terumah — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a
The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the beis medrash of the Yeshiva Ketana 'Kedushas Yom Tov' in Kiryas Joel, under the direction of HaGaon Rabbi Shmuel Meir Levy shlit"a. Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a put on tefillin for the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Yoel Eidelis.
The bochur Gamliel Shagdri.
The bochur Tzvi Appel.
The bochur Yoel Kraus.
Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a lit 5 candles and led the davening as chazan in honor of the hilula kadisha of his grandfather, the Kedushas Yom Tov zt"l. During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was given hagbah.
After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in honor of the hilula kadisha. First there was a siyum on Maseches Chagigah by the Rebbe's grandson, the young man Chaim Tzvi, son of the Rebbe's son-in-law HaGaon Rabbi Yosef Rokeach shlit"a, Rav of the Kol Eliyahu beis medrash, and after the Hadran the Rebbe said Kaddish. The Rebbe drank a lechayim, gave holy blessings, and related holy stories about his grandfather, the subject of the hilula, zy"a.
In the afternoon at 5:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home. Before davening, the Rebbe lit 5 candles and led the davening as chazan in honor of the hilula kadisha.
At around 5:40, the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the halls of HaMaspik in Kiryas Joel, where the Rebbe extended his pure tish in honor of the hilula kadisha, together with the students of the new Yeshiva Ketana 'Darchei HaTorah' of our holy mosdos in Monsey, under the direction of HaGaon Rabbi Shaul Yechezkel Perlstein shlit"a, and the students of the new Yeshiva Ketana 'Derech HaTorah' of our holy mosdos out of town, under the direction of HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Oppenheim shlit"a. The Rebbe washed for the seudah and after the fish said a lechayim.
With a Michtam LeDovid, the Rebbe honored HaGaon Rabbi Shaul Yechezkel Perlstein shlit"a. The Rebbe delivered words of Torah and guidance to the bochurim and then related holy stories about the subject of the hilula. Afterwards the Rebbe led the bentching over the cup. It concluded at around 7:30.
In the evening, there was entry time for yechidus from 8:00 until 11:20.
At around 11:30, the Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv in his holy home.
