Wednesday, Parshas Mishpatim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta "Snif Divrei Yoel Moshe." Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a put on tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochur Eliezer Friedman.

After davening, the Rebbe shlit"a learned the daily Tehillim shiur, chapter 8, verse 4, and spoke about the greatness of saying Tehillim in public, "b'rov am hadras melech," during the days of Shovavim. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

After davening, the bris of the newborn son of R' Tuvia Gross took place in his home, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

In the afternoon the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Snif Divrei Yoel, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room, and at 5:40 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, there were times for entering the Rebbe's room (yechidus) from 8:00 until 9:30. Afterwards the Rebbe davened Maariv in his home, Nava Kodesh. Then the Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the tenaim hall in his home, Nava Kodesh, of the Rebbe, zy"a, at the tenaim of the mechutanim R' Akiva Yosef Neustadt and R' Yisroel Forgacs.

At around 10:00 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the bar mitzvah simcha of his grandson, the bar mitzvah bochur Binyomin Chaim Meisels, son of his son-in-law, HaGaon Rabbi, the Rav of Beis Medrash Yismach Moshe shlit"a, in our Beis Medrash Yismach Moshe.

The Rebbe shlit"a washed for the bar mitzvah seudah. The Rav of Beis Medrash Yismach Moshe shlit"a continued with his derasha. After the fish course the Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave a bracha to the bar mitzvah bochur and to the entire assembly. The bar mitzvah bochur said the traditional pshetl. Then the Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words. The Rebbe first spoke Torah thoughts related to bar mitzvah, and then spoke in praise of the neighborhood, "Shchunas Barach Moshe," and especially of the asifa that took place this past Motzei Shabbos in the beis medrash about strengthening in matters of technology. The Rebbe strongly praised all those Yidden, and especially the askanim involved in this, and then concluded with words of bracha for the entire assembly. At bentching the Rebbe honored his grandson, the bar mitzvah bochur, as is customary.

After bentching, the entire assembly came over to wish the Rebbe shlit"a mazel tov. It ended at around 11:15.
