Tuesday, Parshas Shemos — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Early this morning, before Shacharis, the bris of the newborn son of R' Yoel Tzvi Hirshfeld took place, at which the Rebbe shlit"a was honored with sandekaus.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in our beis medrash in Kiryas Joel, together with the talmidim of the Yeshiva Gedolah "Esek HaTorah – Monsey Branch." Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, son of HaRav HaTzaddik R' Yosef Mordechai Wagschal shlit"a, rav of Beis Medrash Ateres Chachomim Kollel Erev Shabbos.

After davening, the Rebbe shlit"a recited the daily Tehillim shiur, chapter 8, verse 4. Afterward a lechayim gathering was held with the bar mitzvah bochur together with the talmidim of the yeshiva. The Rebbe shlit"a expressed his great admiration for the yeshiva, which stands for the sake of Heaven and glory, and with nachas conveyed the tremendous greetings that are heard, Baruch Hashem, in return. He then discussed with the talmidim the sugya currently being learned in the yeshiva, Maseches Bava Basra, chapter Chezkas HaBatim, and bestowed his holy blessings upon the menahel, HaGaon R' Yisroel Yaakov Seidenfeld shlit"a, upon the bar mitzvah bochur and upon the talmidim of the yeshiva.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Heichal of the yeshiva, Beirach Moshe Branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room, and at 5:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

Upon arriving in Williamsburg, the Rebbe shlit"a first went to be menachem avel HaGaon R' Leibish Weinfeld shlit"a on the passing of his brother a"h.

Afterward, there were times for entry to the holy chamber from 8:45 until 1:00.

Around 11:40 the Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv in his home, and continued to receive the public.
