In his Torah address, the Rebbe shlit"a based his words on the verse "Vayikra Yaakov el banav vayomer he'asfu v'agidah lachem," and explained that these are the days of Shovavim, which the holy Ari zal revealed to us are an auspicious time for teshuva and rectifying one's actions in matters of kedusha. Even though the severity of the matter is so great, teshuva together with tefillah helps for everything. Even if one's mouth was sealed because of the weight of his sins, he receives Heavenly assistance; Hashem, so to speak, davens along with him, and one need only begin to daven with prayer and supplication before the Creator. He concluded with powerful words of inspiration for the days of Shovavim, toward teshuva and rectifying one's actions, especially through reciting Tehillim.
