Thursday, Parshas Vayigash — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a
This morning, before Shacharis, the bris of the newborn son of R' Simcha Yisroel Landau took place, at which the Rebbe shlit"a was honored with sandekaus and with mohelus.
The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in our great beis medrash in Kiryas Joel. Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a put on tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Shimon Sander.
In the afternoon at around 5:10, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home. At around 6:00, the Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv. Before davening, the Rebbe lit 5 candles in honor of the hilula kadisha of the holy Rebbe of Shinova zy"a.
At around 6:25, the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the Beis Rachel building, 'Binyan Leah Esther,' in Kiryas Joel, where the Rebbe graced his pure table in honor of the yahrzeit of the holy Rebbe of Shinova zy"a, together with the talmidim of our holy yeshiva, Yeshiva Gedolah in Boro Park.
The Rebbe shlit"a washed for the seudah. At the lechayim after the fish and after the soup, the Rebbe said "Lechayim, may his merit protect us."
The Rebbe shlit"a honored the Rosh Yeshiva, HaGaon Rabbi, the Zhishnover Rav shlit"a, to rise and relate stories about the one whose hilula it was.
After the meat course, the Rebbe shlit"a related, for an extended time, holy stories about the one whose hilula it was.
With a Michtam LeDavid, the Rebbe honored the administrator, HaRav R' Dovid Shlomo Teitelbaum shlit"a, son-in-law of HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Zhishnov shlit"a.
Afterward, the Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words on the teachings of the one whose hilula it was, spoke words of guidance to the bochurim, and concluded with his holy blessings.
With Birkas Hamazon, the Rebbe honored the Rosh Yeshiva, the Zhishnover Rav shlit"a. It concluded at around 8:30.
In the evening, there were times for entering the holy chamber from 8:45 until 12:40.
The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the tenaim hall in his holy home, at the tenaim of the mechutanim R' Dovid Yuda Silberstein and R' Yitzchak Elkum Schwartz.
