Monday, Parshas Vayigash, Zos Chanukah, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the heichal of the Yeshiva Gedolah, Shiur Daled. Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a put on tefillin with the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yitzchak Kraus. The Rebbe shlit"a approached the amud for Hallel. During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in the heichal of the beis medrash, and the Rebbe shlit"a bestowed his holy blessings on the roshei yeshiva, the bar mitzvah bochur, and the talmidim of the yeshiva.

The Rebbe shlit"a then delivered a short dvar Torah in words of chizuk to the bochurim, and brought out that Zos Chanukah is a day that is auspicious for all salvations. After the dvar Torah, the Rebbe distributed Chanukah gelt to all the bochurim.

Afterwards, the ceremony of burning the wicks took place in the yeshiva courtyard together with the talmidim of the yeshiva. The Rebbe placed the wicks into the bonfire and danced holy dancing for several minutes.

At around 12:10 in the afternoon, the shulchan hatahor in honor of Zos Chanukah took place together with the talmidim of Shiur Gimmel of the 8 branches of the yeshivos ketanos of our holy mosdos in Kiryas Joel, in the Talmud Torah building on Rozhfert Street.

The Rebbe shlit"a washed for the seudah in honor of the day. The Rebbe honored HaGaon Rabbi Wolf Landau shlit"a, menahel of the Yeshiva Ketana, Rav Tuv branch, with reciting Mizmor Shir Chanukas.

The Rebbe shlit"a then delivered holy words and explained that on Zos Chanukah we crown Hashem as King over the world and show that Hashem oversees the upper and lower realms, which brings and instills yiras shamayim in a person. He then continued with words of mussar and guidance to the bochurim, particularly regarding impure devices, then spoke words of praise about the esteemed maggidei shiur, and concluded with his holy blessings.

After the dvar Torah, the singing continued, and then the Rebbe made the blessing over the cup.

From there, the Rebbe shlit"a went into several classrooms in the Talmud Torah and looked in with satisfaction at the learning of the talmidim, and then the Rebbe shlit"a went over to visit the adjacent enormous Talmud Torah building, "Binyan Klein." The Rebbe entered the building accompanied by the mosdos administration and looked over the construction work on all five floors of the building, especially the classrooms, batei medrash and halls, and afterwards looked over the site where the new wedding hall is being built.

In the afternoon at around 5:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.
