Shabbos Kodesh30 Kislev 578212/4/2021

Report
Motzei Shabbos, the Night of the 7th of Chanukah, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 10:00, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the sanctuary of the great beis medrash in Williamsburg for the Chanukah candle lighting, amid a great multitude, in the splendor of a king. The Rebbe shlit"a poured in the oil and recited the blessings over the lighting.

Afterwards, the Rebbe recited the zemiros and stirring melodies were sung. Then the choir sang the piyutim as customary. At "Yonim," the chazan, R' Shmuel Zanvil Wertzberger, shamash of our kehilla in Williamsburg, led the singing.

Among others, the Spinka Beis Yitzchak Rebbe shlit"a participated.

After the zemiros, the Rebbe distributed coins to the singers and to the children of the choir.

Afterwards, the Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words of Torah discourse and pilpul on the sugya in Maseches Shabbos of "kibsa zakuk lah," and then continued in the manner of aggada, explaining that through the Chanukah light, which corresponds to the seven books of the Written Torah, and the eighth, which corresponds to the Oral Torah, tzaddikim have the power to rearrange letters and turn "mos" (death) into "maos rav" (abundant money). He blessed that we should be saved from every mishap and illness, and that there should be abundant means.

After the holy words, the singing of niggunim continued. Then the Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed holy blessings. It concluded at around 11:15.
