Night of the First Night of Chanukah, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At the time of Rabbeinu Tam, the Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv in his holy home. Before Maariv, HaRav HaChassid R' Berel Stein lit the menorah.

"These lights are holy"

At around 9:10, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the hall of the great beis medrash in Kiryas Joel for the Chanukah candle lighting, amid a great multitude, in royal splendor. The Rebbe shlit"a poured in the oil and recited the blessings with holy fervor.

Afterward, the Rebbe recited the zemiros and stirring melodies were sung. Then the choir sang the piyutim as customary.

Afterward, the Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words of Torah, with discourse and analysis on the sugya in Maseches Shabbos of "kibsa zakuk lah," and then continued with words of aggadah, that the first day of Chanukah brings abundant parnassah, relating a story from his ancestor, the holy Yetev Lev zy"a, and concluded with his holy blessings that parnassah should flow in abundance.

After the holy words, the singing of melodies continued. Then the Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave his holy blessings. It concluded at around 10:30.
