Sunday, Parshas Vayeira 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Early in the morning, before Shacharis, the bris took place of the newborn son of R' Moshe Heimlich, at which the Rebbe shlit"a was honored with sandekaus and mohelus.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta "Sniff Kedushas Yoel." Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a put on tefillin with the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
The son of HaGaon R' Naftali Tzvi Kahn shlit"a, a moreh tzedek.
The son of R' Yoel Siman shlit"a.
The bochur Dov Yechezkel Meshulam Teller.

After davening, the Rebbe shlit"a studied the daily Tehillim shiur, chapter 8, verse 2. Afterwards a lechayim gathering was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

At about 1:00 in the afternoon, HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Yitzchak Eizik Landau shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Bnei Brak, came for a visit at the Rebbe's holy home. A lengthy conversation took place on matters of kashrus and shechita. The Rebbe shlit"a honored him with a lechayim, warmly wished him his holy blessing, and then accompanied him out to the street.

In the afternoon at about 3:45, the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to our Beis Medrash Berach Moshe in Kiryas Joel to preside at the simcha of the pidyon haben of his grandson, the newborn son of Rabbi Yoshe Mordechai Eliezer Lavin, son-in-law of HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi, the Rav of Beis Medrash Berach Moshe shlit"a.

Upon arrival, the Rebbe davened Mincha in the main hall of the beis medrash.

The Kohen who received the pidyon was the Karlsburg Rebbe shlit"a. After the pidyon, the Rebbe tasted some mezonos, fish and kugel. The father of the baby, Rabbi Yoshe Mordechai Eliezer shlit"a, spoke words of Torah. Afterwards the Rebbe wished a lechayim to the baal simcha, to the grandfathers, and to the entire assembly.

In the evening the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Yosef Yeshaya Lavin - R' Nate Kaufman, at Kinor David hall.
R' Yitzchak Eizik Goldstein - R' Yechezkel Shraga Steinmetz, at Beis Rachel Paradise hall.

At night there was a time of entry to the Kodesh Penimah from 8:15 until 11:15. The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim at the tenaim held at his holy home, for the following mechutanim:
R' Dovid Eli Neustadt - R' Yoel Ber"i Steinmetz.
R' Yoel Ber"a Schwartz - R' Berel Gold.

At about 11:20 the Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv at his holy home.
