On Motzei Shabbos the grand annual Hirbus dinner for the benefit of our holy mosdos in Kiryas Joel took place, with its more than eleven thousand talmidim and talmidos, bli ayin hara, may they continue to multiply, in the gigantic Beis Rochel Auditorium, with the participation of thousands of residents of Kiryas Joel, headed by the rabbanim and dayanim of the city, and at their head the holy Mara d'Asra and Nasi of the holy mosdos, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.
Throughout the event, the renowned "Lev" Car provided entertainment, accompanied by the singer R' Binyon Weberman.
At the beginning of the event, the devoted administrator, HaRav R' Shlomo Zalman Weiss, spoke. This was followed by a very rich "Holech V'Nosea" panel about the transportation of the mosdos between R' Yoel Palatschek and HaRav Moshe Aryeh Gutman shlit"a, moderated by the esteemed R' Yitzchak Shlomo Dresdner.
At around 10:40 the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the event. Upon his arrival, they danced for several minutes to "Chasdei Hashem," in honor of the day of the miraculous rescue of the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zt"l, coming up on 21 Kislev.
Afterwards, the chairman of the event, the Rebbe's grandson HaGaon R' Moshe Meisels shlit"a, continued with the program. Then R' Meir Hirsch, director of the mosdos, spoke on behalf of the mosdos. He gave a longer address about the financial situation and the incredible budget of the holy mosdos, and he noted that the holy mosdos began the year with as many as 11 thousand children, bli ayin hara, and are now almost entering 12 thousand, may they continue to multiply, with as many as 1,100 employees.
R' Meir then spoke about the dramatic expansion of the holy mosdos' borders, and announced that in the coming school year, IY"H, the magnificent and splendid "Binyan Klein" building for the talmud torah will be inaugurated, b'ezras Hashem. He then proclaimed that R' Shimon Moshe Kepetch, a member of the mosdos' administration, purchased the naming rights to the new Yeshiva Ketana building on Carlsburg, which will be inaugurated, b'ezras Hashem, this coming summer, IY"H.
He then announced that in the coming days, preparations are under way to begin construction of yet another magnificent building for the Beis Rochel division of our holy mosdos. It will consist of as many as one hundred thousand square feet, to keep up with the growth and expansion of the thousands of talmidim and talmidos, may they continue to multiply. The building will be located right next to the "Beis Rochel Complex" with all its buildings, and the gigantic building will also have another magnificent wedding hall for the benefit of the thousands of residents of the city.
He then read out the names of the dozens of distinguished benefactors who contributed larger sums for the benefit of the mosdos, among them R' Yitzchak Markowitz, who purchased the naming rights to a gate in the Beis Rochel building, the Leah Esther building, for $125,000.
