Wednesday, Parshas Chayei Sarah — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the heichal of Yeshiva Gedolah Osek HaTorah – Section 1 – Chester branch.

Upon arrival, the Rebbe shlit"a greeted the yeshiva's administration and looked around the yeshiva's large premises. The Rebbe shlit"a inquired and expressed his satisfaction with the spacious place, which allows for learning Torah with a relaxed mind. Afterwards, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the heichal of the beis medrash and looked in on the learning.

Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
The son of HaGaon R' Asher Shmuel Katz shlit"a, a moreh tzedek in our kehilla in Monsey.
The bochur Moshe Levi Chaim Landau.

After davening, a lechayim gathering was held in the heichal of the beis medrash. The Rebbe shlit"a drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings upon the yeshiva's director, Rabbi Shlomo Leib Weinberger shlit"a, upon the bar mitzvah bochurim, and upon the talmidim of the yeshiva. The Rebbe then delivered holy words of Torah and chizuk to the bochurim, expressed praise for the yeshiva, especially the administration who devote themselves to provide in the best possible way, and concluded with his holy blessings.

After the lechayim, the Rebbe looked around the site where the mikvah and the dormitory for the yeshiva will be built, and inquired about all the details.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the heichal of the yeshiva's Yoel Moshe branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa in his private room. At 6:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Yitzchak Ber Frankel – R' Shlomo Eli Weiss, at Kinor David hall.
R' Yoel Moshe Wertzberger – R' Yissachar Dov Markowitz, at Beis Rochel Paradise hall.

Later in the night, there was a time of entry into the Rebbe's private chamber from 8:15 until 11:15.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim at the tenaim of the following mechutanim, held in his holy home of the Rebbe's grandfather, the Beirach Moshe zt"l:
HaRav Yitzchak Mittelman shlit"a – R' Mordechai Feierstein.
R' Yuda Hersh Berger – R' Herschel Zabel.

At around 11:20 the Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv in his holy home.

After Maariv, at around 11:45, the Rebbe shlit"a participated in the Vach Nacht simcha of his grandson, the newborn son of Rabbi Yehoshua Mordechai Elazar Lavin, which took place in the home of the grandfather, the Rebbe's brother-in-law, HaGaon Rabbi, the Rav of the Beis Medrash Beirach Moshe – Yoel Moshe, shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings upon the baal simcha, the grandfathers, and the entire gathering. A lengthy conversation took place about mikvaos, minhagim of shemitah in Eretz Yisroel, esrogim in the old country, and more.

Afterwards, the Rebbe shlit"a read Krias Shema as customary and returned to his holy home.
