Monday, Parshas Vayeira — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Early in the morning, before Shacharis, the bris of the newborn son of R' Dovid Falkowitz took place, at which the Rebbe shlit"a was honored with sandekaus and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta "Sniff Divrei Yoel".

After davening, the Rebbe shlit"a learned the daily Tehillim shiur, chapter 5, verse 12.

"And you shall draw water with joy from the wellsprings of salvation"

At around 1:00, the ceremony of pouring the foundations took place for the new mikvah being built in our beis medrash "Rav Tuv" - the Kapitch building in the Karlsburg neighborhood of Kiryas Joel, under the leadership of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

Upon arrival, the Rebbe shlit"a looked around at the enormous building, and heard a report from the builder, R' Avigdor Rosenberg, about the mikvah / beis medrash and about the yeshiva building being built beneath the beis medrash.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a entered the mikvah area and looked over the beautiful mikvah.

Afterwards a lechayim gathering took place in the hall of the beis medrash. The Rebbe shlit"a drank a lechayim and offered his holy blessings to the rav of the beis medrash, his grandson HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Hersh Ashkenazi shlit"a, and to the Chadvan, HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a, as well as to the donors and builders of the mikvah and to the entire congregation.

The rav of the beis medrash, HaGaon shlit"a, spoke. Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words. The Rebbe focused on the verse "Let a little water be taken, and wash your feet, and rest under the tree," explaining that "your feet" and "rest under" the "tree" allude to the initials of Torah, so that in order to be able to learn, one must have Torah in purity. The Rebbe then spoke in praise of the beis medrash, which is a beautiful corner of Kiryas Joel, and expressed his gratification that a beautiful mikvah is being built in the beis medrash, and offered his holy blessings to all the donors and builders of the beis medrash and mikvah and to the entire congregation.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a distributed shirayim to the donors and builders of the mikvah.

Then the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the mikvah, where the Rebbe poured the foundations and placed in coins, and honored his grandson, the rav of the beis medrash, and HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a, and the donors to pour the foundations.

In the afternoon the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Sniff Beirach Moshe, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa in his private room, and at 6:00 the Rebbe shlit"a davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Naftali Moshe Weiss - R' Hershel Brader, at Kinor David hall.
R' Mendel Meir Glick - R' Elazar Gestetner, at Beis Rochel Paradise hall.

At night there were entry times to the inner sanctum from 8:15 until 11:15.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim, with the wish that the tenaim be in his holy dwelling, of his ancestors zy"a, at the tenaim of the following mechutanim:
R' Hillel Liebermann - R' Chaim Moshe Lang.
R' Yoel Mendlowitz - R' Yonah Hoffman.

At around 11:15 the Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv in his holy dwelling.

After Maariv, the Rebbe shlit"a comforted the mourner, R' Yaakov Epstein, on the passing of his son a"h.
