Report
Thursday, Parshas Noach, 2 Cheshvan — "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a in Fershay, Monsey

At around 8:30 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in the Boutchatch beis medrash.

The ninth-grade talmidim of our holy mosdos in Monsey merited to daven together with the Rebbe shlit"a.

Upon arrival, the Rebbe shlit"a looked around with satisfaction as the talmidim were engaged in learning, and he walked among the tables and farhered the talmidim.

Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
Son of Rabbi Aharon Yekusiel Berkowitz shlit"a (Monsey).
The bochur Yaakov Mordechai Gross (Kiryas Joel).
The bochur Eliezer Hersh Lichtenstein (Kiryas Joel).

The Rebbe shlit"a approached the amud for Hallel. Rabbi Yosef Panet shlit"a davened Mussaf at the amud.

After davening, a lechayim gathering was held with the talmidim. The Rebbe wished lechayim to the bar mitzvah bochurim and the talmidim, and then delivered words of holy Torah. During his remarks, the Rebbe spoke in praise of the mosdos in Monsey, and delivered words of mussar and chizuk to the bochurim: to go to the mikvah every day, not to speak while wearing tefillin, and to go outside with tzitzis.

Afterward, the bochurim went over to take leave of the Rebbe shlit"a.

In the afternoon at around 7:15, the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the new beis medrash Eitz Chaim Sigut Monsey, under the leadership of HaRav R' Aharon Teitelbaum shlit"a, where his father, HaGaon HaKadosh, the Av Beis Din of Kiryas Joel (15) shlit"a, was also present.

Also present were rabbanim of the area: the Av Beis Din of Radoshitz shlit"a, the Av Beis Din of Rudnik shlit"a, and the Av Beis Din of Kinyan Torah shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv there.

Afterward, the Rebbe shlit"a affixed a mezuzah on the main entrance to the beis medrash, looked around the beis medrash and the mikvah, and left holy blessings.

Then the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the new home of HaRav R' Aharon shlit"a, where the Rebbe affixed a mezuzah. A lechayim gathering followed, in which the Rebbe looked over the plans of the beis medrash and the future plans to expand the borders of kedusha. Afterward, they sang "Lo Yamushu MiPicha" and "Kah Zechus Avos."

The Rebbe then tasted some refreshments and wished holy blessings to his brother, HaGaon HaKadosh, the Av Beis Din of Kiryas Joel (15) shlit"a, to his son, HaRav, the rav of the beis medrash shlit"a, and to the mispallelim and family members.

Afterward, the Rebbe shlit"a visited several nagidim, supporters of the mosdos, who contributed enormous sums for the benefit of the mosdos and purchased larger zechusim in the mighty fortresses being built. The Rebbe shlit"a signed the documents together with the nagidim and wished them holy blessings.

Later in the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a paid a longer visit to his mechutan, HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Bertsh shlit"a in Monsey, where he showed the Rebbe interesting manuscripts of the holy R' Eizikel of Zhidichov zy"a, of the holy Yismach Moshe zy"a, and others. He then poured lechayim for the Rebbe from the bottle of the holy R' Meirel of Premishlan zy"a and into the cups of the holy R' Yeshayale of Kerestir zy"a. They also discussed memories from the early years in America, and lovely divrei Torah on the weekly parsha.
