Increasing yeshiva increases wisdom

This summer, our chassidim, talmidim and followers received the joyous news about the opening of the new "Yeshiva Gedolah – Esek HaTorah".

Over the past few months, the demand among bochurim to register for the new yeshiva grew, and far more bochurim have registered than the yeshiva's administration had anticipated.

Due to the great demand among the bochurim of our community, and in order to allow a broader selection in learning, the administration, by the directive of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, decided to open two branches.

This afternoon, the yeshiva's administration went to the holy residence of the Rebbe shlit"a in Forshay, Monsey, to go through the details of how to establish the yeshivos in a manner that will make it possible to meet the needs of the growing number of students. As the administration relates, the following was finalized: there will be two divisions in two separate locations.

Yeshiva Esek HaTorah – Division A – Chester

The yeshiva will be situated on a spacious property outside the city, with full room and board. All the necessities will be provided to help the bochurim grow in Torah and avodah. R' Shlomo Leib Weinberger shlit"a will serve as menahel of the yeshiva, together with a broad staff of rebbeim of the yeshiva, distinguished talmidei chachamim and teachers of Torah, who will devote themselves to the bochurim spiritually and physically and will impart Torah from their learning to the esteemed talmidim, may they live and be well.

Yeshiva Esek HaTorah – Division B – Monsey

The yeshiva will be opened in the city of Monsey in a spacious location. This yeshiva will also have full room and board and all that goes with it. According to the current plans, a kollel of young married men will be brought there, who will bring the sound of Torah into the beis medrash, and it will also give the option to a group of bochurim who are looking to complete themselves in certain fields. The yeshiva will be led by HaGaon R' Yisroel Mordechai Seidenfeld shlit"a together with a staff of distinguished talmidei chachamim and teachers of Torah, who will impart Torah from their learning to the esteemed talmidim, may they live and be well.

The opening of the yeshivos is truly something that the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a has desired for several years, because the difficult situation in the world of yeshivos today weighs on his pure heart.

As is known, there is a severe shortage of yeshivos for the older bochurim of our community who have already completed the general yeshiva gedolah years.

Many young bochurim are scattered among various chassidic yeshivos throughout New York during the yeshiva ketana years. As is known, most chassidic yeshivos, when the age of shiur beis and gimmel arrives, close their doors to them, which forces many of our bochurim to take up the wanderer's staff and search for a suitable place of Torah. The very fact that in New York there is no selection of yeshivos for older bochurim causes many of our bochurim to be forced to travel to Eretz Yisroel to learn. The Rebbe shlit"a constantly warns about this great danger, that our dear bochurim should not, chas v'shalom, lose everything they acquired in their younger years.

Therefore, the news about the yeshivos was received with great joy by our community. The public is also very grateful to the administration, which took upon itself the heavy burden of fulfilling the wish of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

May it be Hashem's will that the desire of Hashem succeed in their hands, to magnify Torah and make it glorious.
