Leil Shemini Atzeres, Zman Simchaseinu — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 8:40 the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in a borrowed tallis. Maariv: the HaGaon, dayan of our kehilla in Boro Park, shlit"a.

At about 9:10 the Rebbe shlit"a began "Atah Haraisa" with fiery holy enthusiasm, followed by a heavenly outcry from the thousands upon thousands of Yidden. Opening of the Aron: R' Zalman Leib Kapel.

The Sifrei Torah were brought in, the Rebbe went up to the bimah and recited the Leshem Yichud, and the singers began to sing "Lamenatzeach." At around 9:25 the Rebbe shlit"a began to dance "Migdal oz shem Hashem bo yarutz tzaddik v'nisgav" ("The name of Hashem is a tower of strength; the righteous runs into it and is lifted high"). The Rebbe danced around the entire beis medrash with strength and might, in the joy of Hashem and the joy of the Torah.

At the seventh Hakafah, after dancing around the beis medrash, the Rebbe shlit"a, in his holy way, went up onto the bimah and continued with the dancing with even greater fervor and strength.

After the Hakafos the Rebbe shlit"a, with a radiant face, wished the entire kahal a good Yom Tov. They finished at 11:45.
