Asher bachar banu mikol am v'romemanu mikol lashon, v'atah Elokeinu modim anachnu lach u'mehalelim, that we merited these holy, exalted days, which are tripled with three-fold holiness, a triple cord of three days and nights of kedusha, simchas mitzvah, elevation of the soul and closeness to Hashem, as the Rebbe shlit"a always reminds us what his grandfather, the holy Gaon, author of Eitz Chaim zy"a, used to say: "What a beautiful inheritance our grandfather z"l left us, the other days of Yom Tov." This remains an inheritance to us from Maran HaGaon HaKadosh the Yitav Lev zy"a until this very day, in the shadow of the holy faithfulness of the Tzaddik K'Tamar shlit"a, together with thousands upon thousands of chassidim and men of deeds from all corners of the world under one roof. "Yaruz avdecha k'mo ayil, yishtachaveh el mul hadriach," hours upon hours, "not hungry for bread and not thirsty for water, but to hear the word of Hashem." We hope and pray for the life of the king, that he may still bear fruit in old age, fresh and vigorous, and continue to bestow of his majesty and lead the holy congregation, that we may merit many more years to warm ourselves by his bright light until we merit everlasting joy upon our heads.
