Shabbos Kodesh Chol HaMoed Sukkos, Ushpizin of Aharon HaKohen Kadisha — "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

On Friday night at about 7:25 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Shimshon Schwartz.

The davening ended at about 8:40, after which the congregation went over to wish each other a good Shabbos.

At about 11:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for the Shabbos meal in the large sukkah adjacent to the main beis medrash, and recited the order of the Ushpizin with its tefilla, as is customary.

The Rebbe shlit"a began, in his holy manner, with Shalom Aleichem with fiery enthusiasm, and, as is customary, sang until "Melech Tamim Darko."

Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Yisroel Dushinsky, son of HaGaon Rabbi Dovid Dov shlit"a.

Honored with the cup for Kiddush: the Rebbe's son-in-law, HaGaon Rabbi Henoch Ashkenazi shlit"a, rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek.

The hosts of the Ushpizin set out wine, as is customary. After the Shabbos foods, several special kugels and delicacies from a number of the hosts were served; the Rebbe shlit"a tasted them and distributed shirayim.

During the zemiros the Rebbe shlit"a honored the following. Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon Rabbi Shlomo Rubin shlit"a, av beis din of Tshenov, Kiryas Joel. Menucha V'Simcha: HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Meisels shlit"a, son of the Gaon Av Beis Din of our kehilla in Montreal shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "B'haalosecha es haneiros" — "to tell the praise of Aharon, that he did not change" — and explained that by fulfilling the mitzvos of the Sages one receives reward in the World to Come, and regarding the mitzvos of the Sages there is no prohibition of "bal tosif."

The Rebbe shlit"a related stories and anecdotes about the holy Baal Kol Aryeh zy"a, whose hilula fell on Thursday, Isru Chag.

Kah Ribon Olam: his grandson Rabbi Leipa, of Boro Park (Yerushalayim), son of HaGaon Rabbi Baruch shlit"a. Then "Ba'yom Hashevi'i": HaGaon Rabbi Dovid Yitzchak Wertzberger shlit"a, one of the dayanim of our kehilla. The meal ended at about 1:45.

Uva'yom HaShabbos Kodesh

The Rebbe shlit"a is reviewing the parsha of Vezos Habracha on Shabbos Chol HaMoed, and says that one may also review the parsha on Simchas Torah.

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe shlit"a entered at 9:45. Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Chaim Yaakov Gutman.

At Zichrus the Rebbe shlit"a recited the words aloud verse by verse, and then approached the amud for Shacharis and Hallel.

The Rebbe shlit"a recited the Hoshanos for Shabbos aloud verse by verse. Opening of Hoshanos: R' Baruch Mordechai Markowitz.

Afterward Megillas Koheles was recited as is customary.
