The Night of the Second Day of Yom Tov

At the time, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Maariv. R' Baruch Eckstein shlit"a davened at the amud.

The davening concluded at around 8:40. After davening, the crowd went over to wish a good Yom Tov.

At around 11:45 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for the first time the "Ushpiza of Yitzchak" in the great sukkah adjacent to our great beis medrash, and recited the order of the Ushpizin.

Lifting the cup for Kiddush: the Rebbe's grandson Rabbi Dovid Teitelbaum, son of HaGaon HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a.

From the sweet fruits the Rebbe shlit"a distributed shirayim to the hosts of the Ushpizin.

The hosts of the Ushpizin set out wine and brought delicacies in honor of Yom Tov. The Rebbe shlit"a tasted and distributed shirayim.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored HaGaon R' Levi Yitzchak Barzeski shlit"a, director of Yeshiva Gedolah Branch Vayoel Moshe, to sing the piyut, and afterward the Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And he smelled the fragrance of his garments and blessed him," and explained that through "And you shall rejoice before Hashem your G-d for seven days," one merits that the teshuva of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur is accepted with mercy and favor.

For Birchas Hamazon, the Rebbe shlit"a honored his grandson the bochur Yitzchak Eizik, son of HaGaon Rabbi Yoel shlit"a, rav of Beis Medrash Beis Baruch.

After Birchas Hamazon there was dancing in honor of Simchas Beis Hasho'eivah. It concluded at around 1:05.

On the second day of Yom Tov, in the morning at around 10:00, the Rebbe shlit"a entered for davening. Pesukei DeZimra: R' Yisroel HaKohen Landau (of Williamsburg).

For Shacharis and Hallel the Rebbe shlit"a approached the amud and davened with outpouring of the soul. The Rebbe shlit"a prolonged the sacred service of the Nanuim with deveikus and holy emotion. After Hallel the Rebbe shlit"a recited the Hoshanos with great fervor and walked around the bimah in the beis medrash.

Hotzaah and Hachnasah (taking out and returning the Torah) were honored to: HaGaon R' Chaim Nachum Gottlieb shlit"a and HaGaon R' Lipa Berkowitz shlit"a, dayanim of our kehilla. The verses of Shema Yisroel: HaGaon R' Yosef Moshe Stauber shlit"a, a dayan of our kehilla.

After davening, the brisos took place of the newborn son of R' Chaim, son of Dovid Aharon Landau, and of the newborn son of R' Lipa, son of Pinchas Brach. It was already after 2 o'clock when the Rebbe shlit"a went home to his holy residence.

At the afternoon seudah in his holy residence, the hosts of the Ushpizin brought kugels. The Rebbe shlit"a tasted and distributed shirayim.

For Birchas Hamazon, the Rebbe shlit"a honored his grandson Rabbi Lipa Teitelbaum (of Yerushalayim), son of HaGaon R' Baruch shlit"a.

In the afternoon at around 7:45 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Mincha. Rabbi Naftali Hirtzka Friedman, son of HaGaon Rabbi Friedman shlit"a, davened at the amud.

After the time, the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Maariv. R' Gershon Mendel Feldman davened at the amud.

After Maariv the Rebbe shlit"a went into the great sukkah and made Havdalah. After Havdalah the crowd went over to wish a good moed, and afterward the Rebbe shlit"a went to visit the ill R' Noach Gefen, may he have a complete recovery.
