Report
Continuation of the report of Shabbos Kodesh Parshas Haazinu, "B'tzeil HaKodesh," with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

Raava d'Raavin

For Mincha and Shalosh Seudos, the Rebbe shlit"a entered at 7:35. Mincha: R' Yaakov Parkash; Hotzaah and Hachnasah (removing and returning the Torah): R' Asher Zelig Samet; Kohen: R' Moshe Katz shlit"a; Levi: HaGaon R' Yoel Gruber shlit"a; Shlishi: HaGaon R' Wolf Aharon Teller shlit"a; Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a; Gelilah: R' Eliezer Dovid Glick.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored the following with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: R' Shlomo Hersh Eckstein; Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

At the Torah, the Rebbe shlit"a based his words on the verse "Ki shem Hashem ekra, havu godel l'Elokeinu" ("When I call the name of Hashem, ascribe greatness to our God") and explained that through zemiros, songs and praises to Hashem, one can open locked gates in Heaven, and likewise through weeping and tears, for the gates of tears are never locked. On Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur there are no zemiros and Hallel is not recited, so one needs weeping; but when Yom Tov of Sukkos arrives, as in "v'samachta b'chagecha," we recite songs and praises, and in this way all the gates are opened.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Yitzchok Markowitz; Kel Mistater: R' Chaim Yaakov (may he be well). The Rebbe shlit"a made a bracha on the cup.

Maariv of Motzei Shabbos: HaGaon R' Yoel Gruber shlit"a. After Havdalah, everyone went over to wish a gutte voch; the proceedings ended at 9:40.

On the Motzei of a Day of Joy

On Motzei Shabbos the Rebbe shlit"a visited the new showroom of "Salka Kitchens," owned by R' Aharon Shaul Sandel, where the Rebbe shlit"a affixed the mezuzah and looked around the business.

Afterwards, a ceremony took place marking the completion of the writing of a Sefer Torah that is being written by R' Aharon Shaul and will be donated to our beis medrash, Beis Mordechai in Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe shlit"a wrote in some of the letters, then conducted a lechayim gathering and offered his holy blessings.
