Friday night at around 7:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Chaim Mendel Feierstein.

The davening concluded at around 9:20. After davening, the crowd went over to wish each other a gut Shabbos.

At around 11:35 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Shabbos night seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos.

Lifting the cup for Kiddush: HaGaon Rabbi Berel Glanz shlit"a of Bardiov, Kiryas Joel.

During the zemiros, the Rebbe shlit"a honored the following: Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon Rabbi Aryeh Asher Indig shlit"a, moreh d'asra of our Beis Medrash Maharsha Rotzfert in Kiryas Joel; Menucha V'Simcha: HaGaon Rabbi Yoel son of R' Yitzchak Shmuel Oppenheim shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a said a Torah thought on the verse "Ya'arof kamatar likchi" ("My teaching shall drop like rain"), explaining that through the tefillos of the tzaddikim in earlier times, they opened a gateway for later generations, so that when we daven, we will be helped.

The new chasanim went around to take fruit, as on the seventh day: R' Moshe Meir Teitelbaum. The seudah concluded at around 1:30.

For Shacharis, the Rebbe shlit"a approached the amud, and sent to the amud his grandson Rabbi Lipa Rubin shlit"a, son-in-law of HaGaon Rabbi Baruch shlit"a, Chief Rabbi of the Eida HaChareidis.

For the aliyos, the honors went to the baalei menagnim of the band that sang the Yamim Noraim.

After davening, the Rebbe shlit"a went into his private room, where the Rebbe made Kiddush.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a went down to the Chadar Dovid in the Beis Medrash HaGadol for the afternoon seudah, where dozens of talmidim of our yeshiva Maharit in Bnei Brak, who had come to spend Yom Tov in the Rebbe's presence, had the zechus to partake, at the Rebbe shlit"a's personal request.

The Rebbe shlit"a said a Torah thought on the verse "Ki shem Hashem ekra" ("When I call the Name of Hashem"), that through Torah and tefillah with mesirus nefesh, one can merit that even teshuva out of fear will turn willful sins into merits. The Rebbe shlit"a mentioned the yetev lev, that through rising before dawn there is mesirus nefesh, and encouraged the choice bochurim to continue to keep up rising before dawn and learning.

Throughout the entire seudah the Rebbe shlit"a displayed exceptional affection toward the bochurim, and in the course of his words spoke in praise of our holy yeshiva "Maharit," which is run l'shem u'l'tiferes, and expressed himself: 'You are my talmidim, just like the bochurim here in Kiryas Joel.' The Rebbe shlit"a strongly urged not to go away to learn in other yeshivas, and concluded with powerful words of chizuk and blessing.

For Birkas Hamazon the Rebbe shlit"a honored the bochur Shimon, son of HaGaon Rabbi Zalman Leib Kahana shlit"a of Beit Shemesh. The seudah concluded at 2:15.
