"And He Would Go Out in Peace from the Holy Place" — Motzei Yom Kippur

At around 11:15, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a visited R' Efraim Rosenfeld who is ill, wishing him a refuah sheleimah, and then entered the Motzei Yom Kippur Shulchan Orech, with drums and dancing, in our great beis medrash in Williamsburg, in the presence of thousands upon thousands of Yidden.
Upon arriving, the Rebbe shlit"a broke into a spirited dance in the middle of the floor for several minutes.

Afterwards the Rebbe washed. At the lechayim after the fish, the Rebbe shlit"a wished "a good, blessed year." At the soup, wine was placed on the table as is customary.

During the tish, the singing of joyous niggunim was prolonged. For the zemer HaMavdil, the Rebbe shlit"a honored HaGaon Rabbi Hersh Elimelech Teitelbaum shlit"a, Rav of Beis Medrash Tefilah L'Moshe in Boro Park.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the piyut of HaMavdil, "Zareinu v'chaspeinu yarbeh kachol, Yitzveh Hashem chasdo l'maan Yaakov avdo" and explained in accordance with the Chasam Sofer, who says that Yom Kippur corresponds to Yaakov Avinu, whose image is engraved beneath the Throne of Glory, and Yaakov Avinu carries the teshuva up to the Throne of Glory. Regarding the bechora, we see that Yaakov Avinu ruled like Rabbi Meir, that a person can transfer ownership of something that has not yet come into the world. Therefore, even if "Zareinu v'chaspeinu yarbeh kachol" is something without limit, Hashem must indeed give it, in accordance with the view of Rabbi Meir. The Rebbe concluded that since Yidden fasted on Yom Kippur and added to it with Tosefes Yom Kippur, "additional bounty" will descend as well. He gave very warm, holy brachos that we should have accomplished all good, and that "Zareinu v'chaspeinu yarbeh kachol" should be fulfilled with abundant blessings.

Birkas Hamazon: the Rebbe's grandson, the baal simcha, Rabbi Dovid Teitelbaum shlit"a.

After Bentching, the joyous niggunim continued. At the close, the Rebbe shlit"a gave his holy blessings to the assembled.

It concluded at about 1 o'clock, when the Rebbe shlit"a was escorted out with song and music.

Fortunate is the people for whom it is so, fortunate is the people whose G-d is Hashem
