"U'Sanneh Tokef Kedushas HaYom"

On Yom Kippur morning, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 8:00.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened his holy tefillos with awe-inspiring weeping, and the sound of crying was heard throughout the entire beis medrash.

Anim Zemiros was led by R' Yaakov Chaim Gutman. R' Eli Shaul Katz (Boro Park) was honored with the Pesicha.

Pesukei D'Zimra: HaGaon Rabbi Naftali Hirtzka Zwibel shlit"a, Rosh HaKahal. Shacharis: the Rebbe's grandson, HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Ashkenazi shlit"a, son of HaGaon Rabbi Henoch shlit"a, Chadvaban. Shacharis ended at around 12:15.

Hotza'ah and Hachnasah were given as honors to: HaGaon Rabbi Meir Zwibel shlit"a, and HaGaon Rabbi Asher Chaim Wieder shlit"a, of the dayanim of our kehilla.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the Torah with great hislahavus.
Aliyos. Kohen: the Rebbe's grandson, HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Glanz shlit"a; Levi: R' Yoel Tirnauer; Shlishi: R' Shlomo Yaakov Liebermann; Revi'i: R' Yitzchak Schwartz; Chamishi: R' Shlomo Yaakov Mertz; Shishi: the Rebbe shlit"a.

After his aliyah, the Rebbe shlit"a recited the Mi Sheberach and named the newborn daughter of his grandson, Rabbi Dovid Tov shlit"a, son of the Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a, "V'yikarei Shemah B'Yisroel" Brocha, after his grandmother, the righteous Rebbetzin, wife of Rabbi Aharon Brael Teitelbaum z"l.

The Rebbe also recited the Mi Sheberach and named the newborn daughter of R' Meir Bash.

Hagbah of the first sefer: R' Aharon Moshe Slager; Gelilah: R' Shlomo Yosef Bash; Maftir: R' Fishel Rispler. Hagbah of the second sefer: R' Aharon Weiss; Gelilah: R' Aharon Hersh Mittelman. They finished at around 1:00.

The Rebbe shlit"a entered for Yizkor after a pause at about 11:40 and then proceeded to Mussaf.

"Tahor Lev Pasa U'Panav LaKodesh U'Misapel", the recitation of the Seder HaAvodah with a fiery flame, "Kehal Eidoseinu Alecha Yismochu, V'al Yadecha Tehei Selichaseinu"

Fortunate is the eye that beheld the holy avodah at Mussaf, with the awe-inspiring weeping of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

"Aharon Kadosh Hashem L'Sharescha Kidashta" especially during the holy avodah at the Seder HaAvodah, with an outpouring of the soul.

"U'Chein Tzadikim Yireu V'Yismachu" the holy dancing, beyond our comprehension, during the stikelach and at the Kaddeishim after the tefillos.

The first Korim: R' Avrohom Moshe Falkowitz - R' Shlomo Wertzberger - shamash.

The second Korim: R' Shalom Yitzchak Jakobowitz - R' Moshe Eliezer Landau.

The third Korim: R' Meir Stern - R' Aharon Hersh Mittelman (Boro Park).

The fourth Korim: Rabbi Shmuel Eliezer Teitelbaum shlit"a (Boro Park) - R' Yitzchak Michael Jacob.

They finished at about 6:05.

Mincha was led by R' Yudel Wertzberger. Hotza'ah and Hachnasah: HaRav R' Meshulam Margaliot shlit"a. Kohen: the bar mitzvah bochur Chaim Shaul Kohn; Levi: R' Nesanel Wertzberger; Maftir Yonah: the Rebbe shlit"a. After his aliyah, the Rebbe recited a Mi Sheberach for R' Moshe Yuda son of R' Hirsch, who had purchased Maftir. Hagbah: R' Avrohom Brach; Gelilah: R' Moshe Eliezer Landau.

They davened quickly and did not say Avinu Malkeinu as is customary, due to the late hour. They finished at 6:55.

Immediately after Mincha, the Rebbe shlit"a began Ashrei for "Tefillas Neilah" with fiery intensity and tremendous weeping. The Thirteen Attributes were recited at all the stikelach, as was the minhag of the Beirach Moshe zy"a. The Pesicha to Neilah was purchased by R' Yitzchak Klein.

After Kaddish, R' Naftali Hirtzka Stein blew the Tekiah Gedolah, and the Rebbe shlit"a cried out in a mighty and powerful voice, "L'Shanah Haba'ah B'Yerushalayim." Neilah ended at 8:25.

The Rebbe shlit"a waited until the large minyan finished and then stood to daven Maariv. The baal tefillah was R' Yoel Weinberger. They finished at around 8:55.

After Maariv, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to Heichal Tehillas Yehosef, made Havdalah, and then broke his fast, and wished the entire kahal well. They finished at around 9:10.
