On Friday night at around 7:15 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Shlomo Hersh Eckstein. At Lecha Dodi the choir sang the new melodies that were composed for the Yamim Noraim.

They finished at around 9:20. After davening the crowd went over to wish a "gut Shabbos."

At around 11:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Shabbos seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos.

The honor of holding the cup for Kiddush: HaGaon Rabbi Avrohom Wolf Friedman shlit"a.

On the challah there was the shape of a hand, as is the minhag. At the lechayim after the fish, the Rebbe shlit"a wished "a gut gebentsht yohr." From the sweet kugels, the Rebbe shlit"a distributed shirayim to the dozens of talmidim of our holy yeshiva Mahari"t in Bnei Brak, who came to be near the holy presence for Yom Tov.
