Report
Continuation of the report of Shabbos Kodesh Parshas Nitzavim, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a came down to the hall in his home, where the "Kapelya" sang all the new nigunim composed in honor of the holy days. At the conclusion, the Rebbe shlit"a wished them "Blessing and success, and may our words be favorable.".

Raava D'Raavin

For Mincha and Shalosh Seudos, the Rebbe shlit"a entered at 7:55. Mincha: R' Yaakov Yosef Filaff; Hotzaah and Hachnasah: R' Baruch Mordechai Rosenberg; Kohen: R' Moshe Baruch Polak; Levi: R' Naftali Yaakov Gottlieb; Shlishi: HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Oppenheim shlit"a; Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a; Gelilah: R' Baruch Yehuda Klein.

At Shalosh Seudos, the Rebbe shlit"a honored the singing of the zemiros. Odeh: R' Noach Gefen; Shir HaMaalos: R' Yechezkel Yoel Samet (Womsb"g).

During the Torah discourse, the Rebbe shlit"a built on the verse "You are standing today, all of you, before Hashem your God," and explained it in the way of mussar, with lengthy words of inspiration in preparation for the holy days. Jews know how to entice their Creator with the teruah; even though the nations of the world can also blow a shofar and do teshuvah, the difference is that Jews are believers, descendants of believers, and believe with complete faith that even if year after year the shofar has been blown and the complete redemption has not yet come, Hashem will surely have mercy, and we believe that this year it will come. This is a tremendous straightforward plea on behalf of all Israel: "May Your kindness, Hashem, be upon us, as we have hoped for You." Just as Jewish children continue to hope and their faith has not weakened, in that merit I hope that Hashem will once again hear the prayers, the shofar blasts, and the thoughts of teshuvah of all Israel. At the end of the discourse, during the holy blessings, the Rebbe concluded in a weeping voice: Jewish children are truly broken. We daven, we take leave of the year: "Let the year and its curses end." Last year we also said "Let the year and its curses end," when we took leave of the year, and two years ago we also said "Let the year and its curses end." We hope that a year will come, a year in which Jewish children will be helped with all kinds of salvations. We now stand once again at the end of the year, and we plead once again: "Let the year and its curses end." He continued with words of inspiration, standing at the end of the year, and concluded: May Hashem help that we merit the coming of Mashiach speedily, that we merit that Hashem accepts the prayers and the shofar blasts of Jewish children. Jewish children pour out their hearts in weeping, "for every heart is faint"; the hearts of all Jewish children are broken. Jewish children need salvations, Jewish children need cures. Every day we hear fresh news that sends a shudder through every Jew. May Hashem help that we merit to do teshuvah completely in these days. May Hashem say to the troubles of Israel, "Enough!" May He send the complete redemption. "May Your kindness, Hashem, be upon us, as we have hoped for You." May Hashem help that we merit the elevation of the glory of Torah and Israel, with the revelation of the glory of Heaven upon us, speedily in our days, Amen.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Yitzchak Markowitz; Kel Mistater: R' Chaim Yakov. The Rebbe shlit"a made the blessing on the cup. Maariv of Motzei Shabbos: R' Shlomo Zalman Stein. After Havdalah, everyone went over to wish a good week. It concluded at 10:20.
