Friday, Parshas Nitzavim, 6th Selichos, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 5:45 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for the recitation of Selichos in our great beis medrash in Kiryas Joel. The baal tefillah was R' Shlomo Zalman Stein.

Open for me the gates of righteousness

After davening, the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to the new Beis Medrash Maharsha of our holy kehilla in Kiryas Joel, in the Bakertown neighborhood on the new Hamispik Way. This beis medrash is the 18th shul of our holy kehilla in Kiryas Joel.

The Rebbe shlit"a affixed the mezuzah, and afterwards held a lechayim celebration. At the lechayim celebration, a ceremony of appointment for the beis medrash's moreh tzedek, HaGaon Rabbi Ari Asher Indig shlit"a, also took place.

First, R' Dovid Eckstein, the rosh hakahal of our holy kehilla in Kiryas Joel, spoke and welcomed the gathering. Then the Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words, in which the Rebbe shlit"a - as already reported - named the beis medrash Beis Medrash Maharsha of Kehal Yitav Lev of Satmar, in honor and memory of his grandfather, the holy Rebbe, the Poel Yeshuos, Rabbi Shalom Eliezer of Ratzfert zt"l Hy"d. The Rebbe shlit"a noted that the name is very fitting, as the beis medrash is located right next to Ratzfert Street in Kiryas Joel, and extended warm, holy blessings to the new moreh tzedek of the beis medrash.

After the holy words, the new moreh tzedek, HaGaon Rabbi Ari Asher Indig shlit"a, spoke. Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a drank lechayim, extended blessings to the askanim and mispallelim, and distributed shirayim to the gabbaim and askanim.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a looked around the beis medrash and the mikvah.

After the gathering, the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Monsey, where the Rebbe shlit"a paid a shiva call to HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Menachem Meir Weissmandl shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Nitra Monsey, on the passing of his brother, HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Shmuel Dovid zt"l, rebbi in Yeshivas Kiryas Nitra.
