Monday, Parshas Nitzavim, Second Selichos — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 5:45 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for the recital of Selichos in our great beis medrash in Kiryas Joel. The baal tefillah was HaGaon R' Berel Glantz shlit"a of Bardiov, Kiryas Joel. They finished at around 6:30.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in our great beis medrash in Kiryas Joel. Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
the bochur Yoshe Kohn.
the bochur Moshe Nissim Mizrachi.

After davening, the Rebbe shlit"a blew the shofar, and during Tehillim said 15 chapters as is customary.

Afterwards a lechayim gathering was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

After the lechayim gathering, the Rebbe shlit"a affixed a mezuzah on his new private room in the great beis medrash, a gift from the lay leader R' Shmuel Zanvil Wertheimer.

In the afternoon at around 4:00, upon arriving in Boro Park, the Rebbe shlit"a paid a condolence call to the family of HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Chaim Yitzchak Eizik Teitelbaum zt"l, Av Beis Din of Slatfina, a grandson of our holy Rebbes, among them his son HaGaon R' Lipa Teitelbaum shlit"a, a dayan and moreh tzedek of our holy kehilla in Antwerp. A fine conversation was held about the tzaddikim and customs of Beis Sigut.

At around 4:30 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the guest residence in the home of R' Moshe Kahana, where times for private audiences were held in preparation for the days of mercy and favor for members of the community in the city, where hundreds of Jews packed in, among them dozens of rabbanim of the city, and it extended for nearly 9 hours, from 4:30 until 1:30.

During the audiences, — as already reported — HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Bentzion HaKohen Strasser shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Nitra, Boro Park, visited the Rebbe shlit"a, and the Rebbe shlit"a presented him with a gift, a new "tallis" whose tzitzis were made from the wool that the Rebbe shlit"a himself sheared, fulfilling the mitzvah of matnas kehuna at the historic event of reishis hagez during the past Chol HaMoed Pesach.

At around 2:00 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at his holy home in Williamsburg.
