Report
Continuation of the report of Shabbos Kodesh Parshas Ki Seitzei, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

Raava D'Raavin

For Mincha and Shalosh Seudos, the Rebbe shlit"a entered at 8:20. Mincha: R' Yaakov Hersh Heimann (Williamsburg). Hotzaah and Hachnasah: R' Meir Siman. Kohen: R' Yisroel Leib Kohn. Levi: R' Yitzchak Lewy (Antwerp). Shlishi: R' Yitzchak Markowitz. Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: R' Pinchas Moshe Landau (Boro Park).

At Shalosh Seudos, the Rebbe shlit"a honored the following with the zemiros. Odeh: R' Noach Gefen. Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

During the Torah discourse, the Rebbe shlit"a based his words on the verse "For Hashem your G-d walks in the midst of your camp to rescue you and to deliver your enemies before you," and explained in the way of mussar that in the month of Elul, when Jews pray to the Holy One, Blessed Be He, to be remembered for salvation and mercy, the shofar is blown and the mitzvah of "remember your Creator" is fulfilled. People reflect on whether they are fulfilling the purpose of creation, why they came down to this world: to serve the Creator and to keep the Torah and mitzvos. Then Hashem will surely fulfill "Remember us, Hashem our G-d, on it for good." The Rebbe continued with longer words of arousal, weeping profoundly, in anticipation of the Days of Mercy. "Jewish children are increasing their prayers and supplications in the month of Elul. The requests of Jewish children are very many; the needs of Your people Israel are great. Unfortunately it has been a difficult year for all of Israel. Jewish children are asking the Almighty that Hashem remember for us all the troubles and all the heartbreaks that Jewish children have, unfortunately, gone through during the entire year, one weeping and another weeping. It was a hard year, with so much anguish and so many troubles; so many Jewish children are broken. Now we are once again in the month of Elul, preparing once again for the holy day. Rosh Hashana is coming, 'On Rosh Hashana it is written, and on the fast of Yom Kippur it is sealed.' Last year too was Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, and we hoped for a good inscription and sealing. Unfortunately, everyone knows how this year has gone. Jewish children are praying and hoping for a better year, a better inscription and a better sealing. We beg the Holy One, Blessed Be He, to remember all that Jewish children have gone through, all the troubles and all the anguish of Klal Yisroel." The Rebbe shlit"a then continued with words of mussar and chizuk for Elul. At the end of the discourse, the Rebbe concluded the holy blessings in a weeping voice: Hashem will remember every single one, in the general and in the particular, every individual Jew with all his personal requests. No one is the same as another; each has his own requests, "this one comes with his jug and that one with his barrel," "everyone comes to the Holy One, Blessed Be He." "Here are Jews who need help with children, Jews who need help with livelihood, Jews who need help with cures, Jews who need help with salvations, one weeping and another weeping." Jewish children pour out their hearts before the Holy One, Blessed Be He, "Please, Hashem, save us." May the Almighty help. "We need a great salvation." May Hashem, G-d forbid, not hide His eye. May Hashem remember us on this day of remembrance, "Remember us, Hashem our G-d, on it for good." On this day of remembrance, may Hashem remember Klal Yisroel for good life and peace. May the Almighty help that it be "may the year and its curses end, may the year and its blessings begin." May we merit a "good inscription and sealing" in all matters. May the Almighty help that we merit the raising of the glory of Torah and Israel, with the revelation of the glory of Heaven upon us, speedily in our days, Amen.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Yitzchak Markowitz. Kel Mistatter: R' Mordechai Weinberger (London). The Rebbe shlit"a made the blessing on the cup and honored the Mishkenos HaRoim Rebbe shlit"a with reciting the Sheva Brachos. Maariv of Motzei Shabbos: R' Menachem Zev Makabtzky. After Havdalah, everyone went over to wish a gutte voch. It concluded at 10:50.
