Sunday, Parshas Ki Seitzei — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in our great beis medrash in Kiryas Joel.

At around 2:30 in the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a set out on the way to Monsey.

Upon arriving in Monsey, the Rebbe shlit"a visited several philanthropists, supporters of the mosdos, who have contributed enormous sums for the benefit of the mosdos and purchased larger zechusim in the mighty fortresses that are being built. The Rebbe shlit"a signed the documents together with the philanthropists and bestowed his holy blessings.

The Rebbe shlit"a also affixed a mezuzah in the new "High Style" section of the business of R' Nachman Fish, and afterwards led a lechayim gathering and bestowed his holy blessings.

The Rebbe shlit"a also visited the 'Kollel L'Mishpat U'Lehoraah'.

The Rebbe shlit"a also paid a return visit to the Gerer Rebbe shlit"a at his lodging in Monsey. A pleasant conversation took place about the month of Elul, and they also discussed the difficulties of making weddings now in Eretz Yisroel. Afterwards, the Gerer Rebbe shlit"a honored the Rebbe shlit"a with a lechayim and accompanied him out to the street.

The Rebbe shlit"a also visited HaGaon Rabbi Mordechai Babad shlit"a, Rosh Av Beis Din of Machon L'Horaah, where a longer Torah conversation took place.

Later, the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the Tashnad beis medrash in Monsey for a return visit to the HaGaon, the Av Beis Din of Tashnad shlit"a. A pleasant conversation took place, and the Rebbe shlit"a wished him his holy blessings on the occasion of the bar mitzvah of his grandson, mazel tov, and to his grandson, the bar mitzvah bochur.

At around 6:15, the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at our great beis medrash in Monsey, where the Rebbe davened Mincha. R' Yitzchak Baruch Brown led the davening at the amud.

After Mincha, the Rebbe shlit"a entered his private room in the great beis medrash, where there were times of entry into the inner sanctum for the members of the kehilla, residents of Monsey, to be remembered for salvation and mercy in preparation for the days of mercy and favor.

During these times of entry, many hundreds of Jews, members of the kehilla and residents of Monsey, entered to give and receive blessings, which continued until late in the evening. Dozens of members of the kehilla also handed the Rebbe documents for the zechusim they purchased in the mighty fortresses being built for our holy mosdos in the city.

"Yoreh Yoreh K'das Shel Torah"

At around 10:00, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the great beis medrash for the appointment ceremony of the 4 new dayanim in the beis horaah of our holy kehilla of Monsey. First, the HaGaon, Av Beis Din and Rosh Mesivta of our Monsey kehilla shlit"a spoke words of Torah. Afterwards, the Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished the Rav of Monsey, the four new poskim, and the entire community well. The Rebbe shlit"a then delivered holy remarks, expressing the feelings of his heart for the kehilla in Monsey, and spoke in praise of the rav of the kehilla, who has established a body of dayanim everywhere and now in Monsey. He spoke about the kehilla, which is growing in quantity and quality. In particular, the Rebbe expressed his pleasure with the Shabbos he spent there, and especially with the warm davening, and the chassidishe baalei batim, avreichim and bochurim. He concluded with his holy blessings to the new dayanim and to the entire community. It ended at 10:30.

After the ceremony, the Rebbe shlit"a returned to his private room and continued receiving the public.

At around 12:50, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the sanctuary of the beis medrash, where the Rebbe davened Maariv. After Maariv, he returned to his private room and continued receiving the public.

At around 2:10, the Rebbe shlit"a left our great beis medrash and returned to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.
